This is the season finale of FNC.

Not surprising, as boxing usually starts winding down in general toward the holiday season and picks up again a little bit into the new year.

Of course, the FNC "season" is a very loosely held together concept with shows every two months.

(The 2011 season has given us: February 24th, April 28th, June 23rd, August 25th, October 27th, and now December 2nd - a whopping six installments all year)

 

Dynamite David Lopez is wearing all Boise State orange and blue (shirt, beenie cap, and velour trunks)

 

Hugo The Boss Centeno is soaking in the crowd's love and tapping himself on the opposite shoulder with each fist while tipping his head back.

Round 1

Centeno throws a nice 1-2. Lopez covers up and shuffles to the side. A few lone body jabs by Lopez. Uppercuts from outside by Centeno. Switching southpaw, Centeno tries a right jab. Lopez dives in behind his own right jab and grabs the waist. Centeno throws a combo to the body, first straight shots and then wide ones chopping in from the side. Lopez takes short hops around him and leans side to side, guard moving up and down. Lopez drifts in and leans against Centeno, who's the only one throwing shots.

Centeno is actually orthodox, he switched halfway through the round.

Round 2

Good right to the body and bashing left hook up top by Centeno as he chases Lopez around the ring. Lopez just moves away and leans side to side behind his guard looking for spots to counter but only tossing the odd right jab to the body. Centeno is still in the southpaw stance, coming in behind a right jab. Centeno gets Lopez ducking with some high right jabs and then tries to swat at his head with a right hook. Lopez is keeping just off range and clinches when Centeno walks him near the ropes. Jabs into the guard by Centeno, and a left cross. Just light scoring shots.

Round 3

Lopez lands a good left and Centeno grins and holds on. Centeno lands soft right jabs to the forehead as the two circle in short steps at a distance. Lopez ducks in and grabs. Centeno lands a right jab but Lopez pulls away from the left hand that follows. Centeno jabs the body and then slaps away a straight punch coming back at him with his left glove. Nice counter right hook by Centeno during a close-up exchange. Lopez looked surprised by it. Clinch, and Lopez is banging hard to the body.
