I'll never understand why Wilson a fighter with athleticism and speed gets into these Brawls and fire-fights. He should ne using space, jabs and counters and STAY OFF THE ****ING ROPES!!!!

 

Round 3

Wilson is circling and putting the jab out in spots and then flinching back and down, away from Santos' quick counter jab. 1-2 scraping across either side of the neck by Santos, and they clinch. Left hooks to the body by Santos, chasing Wilson to the ropes. Wilson emits a battle cry and slaps back underhanded to Santos' body.

Bad coaching. Too common in the USA.

 

I just read that Hernan Marquez vs. Carlos Tamara isn't actually being televised on Azteca like advertised. :sad2 Night ruined.

 

Round 4

Santos is whipping in hooks, upper body pitched forward. Wilson drags in ball-and-chain uppercuts from behind his back while getting pushed across the ring. Santos gets in under Wilson ducking a right hand and leverages him up, almost body slamming him. More hooks by Santos on the front foot as Wilson lobs softball pitches back at him.

...means I can hopefully go to bed before 6am my time...TBH for supposedly "quiet" week there has been plenty of good action

 

Yeah...but after having some KO losses on your record early in your career...even the fighter should be able to figure out what works best for him.

 

Round 5

Santos is throwing jabs and spiraling wine-opener left upper-hooks - all missing. Wilson is making Santos duck with jabs to the face and then clubbing the side of his head with right hands when he's teetering over. Wilson is scoring very successfully with this formula, and Santos isn't making adjustments, continuing to fall for it. BIG RIGHT HAND BY WILSON. Santos is rocked into the ropes, and then leans in to hold.
