    thats exactly what it is.

people here are acting like sky have a personal vendetta against khan and his family, they dont, if khan can make sky money they'll run to him.

Sky hyped the **** out of the Khan-McCloskey fight, they invested a lot of money in it but the card was ****. You cant blame Hatton, it was Khan Promotions - they dont have a stable so they subcontracted Hatton to help them, but ultimately it is 100% down to Khan Promotions.

It got to the point where Sky decided this was not PPV standard, remember they invested a lot of money building this PPV and were going to split the PPV sales with Khan - so they too had a strong financial interest in this going to PPV, but they stepped back I thought 'nah this isnt a credible PPV offering'. So, they wanted it to be moved to Sky Sports 3.

At that point, short-sighted greed and ego i.e. 'I am a PPV fighter etc' took centre stage and Team Khan burnt their bridges with Sky. They made their bed and fair play to Sky, they are the number one player and have the likes of Carl Froch who can easily step in and fill the gap.

It was Team Khan who asked Hatton Promotions to sort out the undercard but apparently the budget they came them wasn't enough to make it a solid card. You can't fault Hatton Promotions if they were given peanuts to work with.

I'm afraid you bloody well can blame Hatton, his company were given co-promotional status on the bill and were contracted to fill the undercard. Hatton Promotions should have had a Plan B in place :deal

No, they had a couple of solid fights lined up which got cancelled. The f*ck by Hatton Promotions was not having any contingency....

No, I disagree with you. Hatton is blameless in this. They were unfortunate that fights fell apart and they still got other fights on the bill, but they were not good enough and there was no co-support - so the final call was down to Team Khan if they wanted to proceed as a PPV. We know that Sky didnt want to.

You are entitled to your opinion, but this is an example of why the trend for fighters to promote their own shows at this level is to the detriment of the paying punter. They don't invest in their own stable and just live in this bubble of 'I am a PPV fighter' - and think their name and world title belt is enough to trade on, but that isnt enough to run top level boxing shows.

    Can't really argue with that.

Fair enough the undercard fell apart, but it was Khan's decision to jump ship from Sky when he could of stayed on SS3 and built up a bigger audience

I think the sooner Khan and his team realise, that Sky use him to make money, not him using Sky to make money, the sooner this whole mess will be resolved

Sky wan't to show Amir Khan. Its Khan that doesn't want to be on Sky because he thinks he is above his station.

Honestly I am pretty sure Sky would have happily done Khan vs Judah as a PPV had it not been the same month as Haye vs Klitscko.

Put it back to September and double it with a Big ****** show again!

Explain how it is 100% ultimately down to TK, because I can't understand how it is.

Once again, how can you fault TK for the drop-outs? Please explain this to me.

They moved it a week before the fight? To me, that's a stupid ****ing move by a network. It's their judgement call at the end of the day. They hyped it up and they decided to take it off PPV. Team Khan weren't happy that they'd be losing over $1M+ in revenue so they kindly said, ok, we'll go to Primetime for this one where we'll make a little more, so they screwed TK over as well as themselves.

Doing it a week before a fight was a stupid move for everyone involved. I mean, talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

There is no gap  Sky don't have 3 dates a year, you know .

Now, for this fight, Khan has got a guaranteed amount, as he's fighting in the U.S, so now they asked if Sky would be willing to put in on SS1/2/3, but they are not.

Who's to blame? We don't know, but I'm sure you'll pin it on TK.

Did Khan vs Maidana do bad on PPV?, it was a great fight so i hope it did well.

Khan will be back on Sjy if he keeps winning and fighting big names, The Mccloskey fight has pissed them off a bit because of the dire under card.

Laz read my last two or three posts, I have clearly answered this. Anyway, where was your boy last night, he left Bunce hanging with 15 minutes of live radio. A good promoter would have made sure their top fighter was at the end of that phone line last night. This is what happens.:good

Where did you learn this from??? :huh

You just said TK was at fault for the failure of the undercard and you haven't explained the point as to how. The drop-outs happened, what could TK have done? Can you explain any possibly solutions?
