Most of it for petty crap prior to him testing positive.

It goes with the territory, nothing new. Haters can be petty.

I don't see ODLH as a greedy promoter. He was already filthy rich prior to becoming a promoter, he is a huge philanthropist, and doesn't make very much from Canelo fights. I also don't see Canelo as a money hungry, money desperate fighter, he has never avoided a fight because it wasn't very marketable (Trout, Lara), and he has never been one to bicker about being paid significantly less than his opponents despite having a huge following (Mayweather, Cotto).

ODLH was also very vocal about just not wanting to pay GGG 50/50, since its Canelo who the draw by considerable margins and Canelo still has many years to go and many option to come as opposed to GGG.

    100%

    Canelo doesn't duck anyone
Canelo is very fair about purses
Canelo is usually the one who is more willing to concede in negotiations just to get his opponents in the ring
Canelo has an excellent resume, much better than most MWs and JrMWs.

If that offer is genuine then the fight is ON.

Take the offer . Canelo has been inactive since last Sept . A DJ fight is no pushover and if he struggles it will affect the Box Office for rematch.

Easy to be build when you're on the Clen my friend. Popeye has to fight some BIG boys without his Mexican beef. It will not happen.

50-50 or Canelo doesnt want the fight. Take it or leave it. Canelo looses big time.

While i do wish for GGG to make a good payday. As a sport fan i dont care that much, Canelo defended himself very well for 6 rounds but still lost. They anounced a long wait for the rematch soon after the fight. Then there was the atomic tacos story.

At this point i just want to see Golovkin move on and fight while he is not too old. I am sure Canelo will find someone interesting to fight on may 5th, 2019.

    Team GGG drawing First blood

Say what you want about GGG and all his antics he is a master business man.

I can’t see how the bloke could have made more money in his career.

Taking step aside money and fighting b level fighters paid off big time!!!!!!

Funny watching millionaires play chicken. Wake me up when contracts are signed and the cattle are corralled.

Folks, you can thank Danny Jacobs for this generous offer from GBP.

I was thinking 42.5% is pretty high but then again does Canelo really want to fight Jacobs? A rangy, fleetfooted switcher? Stylistically, GGG is an easier fight, with more earning potential.

I’m looking for a little more explanation if someone can help me out. I try really hard not to bother myself with these purse splits and everything but now I just gotta know. I can understand why GBP doesn’t “want” to give ggg 50/50 but why is it ridiculous( or absurd I forget how they put it)?? to me the fact that ggg took a quite fair ( or unfair depending on which side your on) split in the first fight, really got the better of canelo according to most of the public which de la Hoya claims is so important, and what it comes down to for me the fact that ggg has been the unified champion for what 15/20 fights. To me these fact coupled with canelo ‘s positive tests lead me to believe it’s far more reasonable for ggg to expect a fair deal the second time around. So I guess my question is what do I not know about the situation that makes ggg wanting 50/50 absolutely ridiculous? Is it simply how much each fighter brings in fight to fight or is there something I’m not aware of. I would think if canelo wants to right a wrong he would agree to a fair fight this time around? (Sorry for a question turning into an essay)
