Golden Boy offer Khan fight to ITV for nothing?

Mitchell Katsidis is on the same night, dont know if its on PPV or not?

Call me crazy but I would more rather have this on Sky PPV with Mitchell-Katsidis as an English leg then have it on ITV 4. If it goes on to ITV 1 then that would be great but I don't want to see such a big fight on ITV 4 as if this is some small hall show for the British title.

What's the problem between Khan, Golden Boy and Sky I am confused as to why they are having problems. And if FW thinks that the Mitchell-Katsidis would survive on PPV on it's own he is delusional.

 

I agree, ITV1 would be the one screening this, i hope they give the HBO commentary aswell.

 

I can't see Warren doing a joint venture PPV with Khan considering Khan just left him .......

Would love if this showed up on ITV, maybe GBP expected instant UK PPV revenue from Khan when realistically he doesnt bring in that much money...its a good idea getting him back on ITV when he is a World Champ to build up his status a bit more.

True but Golden Boy dont have a contract with SKY like Frank Warren does. So when Khan left Warren he also left SKY. But your right, ITV4 is crap.

Weren't the PPV figures for Khan very poor as well? Just 30,000 buys for the fight with Kotelnik IIRC.

 

This would be PPV as well, but the time and the fact that HBO money compensates for UK revenue is why this could be true, I disagree that fighting on ITV4 means he 'fades from public's eye' i bet more people watch this then his primetime PPV fights, its a channel available to, if i'm not mistaken 90% of the country if not more, plus as someone mentioned there's the possibility ITV could replay it on their main channel at a more reasonable time.

GBP are smart, they realise they need to make Khan a bigger household name as he's lost some profile during his time on PPV and defeat, hopefully this is true and their willing to 'lose' now and benefit in the long term. Something Henny and Froch failed to realise, GBP are much more savvy and as i said they can afford to do this with the HBO money.
