i'm used to watching heavyweight prospects work their way up the ladder on tv even though they wont go all the way....michael grant, tommy morrison, alex garcia, andrew golota, samson po'uha, jimmy thunder ect.....while they were all highly touted prospects at one time, we at least got to see them progress. they have done a great job of exclusively keeping him off national tv except for 1 or 2 fights....and one of those was a replay..... i would just like to see the guy fight once in a while especially now that hes ranked #3 by the WBC ! :rofl

The purse structure for Fox Sports 1 main events is far less -- Wilder's opponent for such a fight would be far below Firtha.

Doesn't Showtime usually televise the "non-televised" undercard on these shows -- like on Showtime Extreme?

Just checked. The undercard will be on Showtime Extreme. So his fight will be televised. Several high-profile fighters have been featured on the televised undercards of other fights that were shown this way. Sorry if it doesn't fit everyone agenda.

As far as hiting him, they want him in Atlantic City on the Hopkins undercard (just as they did when it was originally scheduled for New York) to get him exposure with the New York/East Coast press. They'll all be out to cover this. Not so for the Fox Sports card.

44 year old Tarver would be a huge step up from the kind of stiffs Wilder has been facing  :rofl last year Wilder fought bloated obese former SMW Damon McCreary, why not Tarver whos basically HW himself now? I would not be shocked if Tarver upset Wilder, he's still much better than any of the stiffs Wilder has beaten.

If they both win their upcoming bouts, how about Tarver vs. Wilder in early 2014 on the season premiere of MNF? :hey

Do they pay you to be his critic?

No, I provide facts for free -- to say a fighter is being hidden in a non-televised fight when it's going to be televised is kind of silly.

Anyone who gets Showtime on their cable package gets all the Showtime channels without extra charge, at least they do where I live. If I order HBO, same thing with getting all the HBO channels. If you're at a hotel that has either, however, you'll only get the main one most likely.

More people get Showtime Extreme than ordered the Marquez PPV, or even the Mayweather PPV for that matter.

If you want to think Fox Sports 1 pays Tarver more than Wilder is making to fight on the Hopkins undercard on Showtime Extreme, that's your business -- but it happens to not be true.
