Fair post! I don't want to see Oscar fail I still think GBP can be viable. They still have Canelo a cash cow, who if he beats Cotto will put him right back in the mix.

Alot of guys don't like Postol and find him boring but I do. I think he's a quality operator and is going to make a lot of noise at 140 I think he gives everyone there fits including Crawford. Yeah I think he's with Arum to.

 

Its only in Haymons best interest to get the highest purses possible for his guys. He is getting 15% from them so the higher the better. I bet they even deduct money from the fighter to pay for Sam Watson and his sons private jets and fancy hotel rooms.

 

Maybe they do but you don't see guys complaining about him. Khan left him only because he thought he was going to get the PBF fight.

 

I like Postol also. If he can polish up his boxing skills he is a srious threat to anybody at that weight. A 5'11 junior welterweight? Lucas looked like a midget in there with him.

 

He's a giant there no doubt his height and length are problematic because he knows how to use it. I can very easily see him moving up to 147 down the line after a couple more fights at 140. I just hope we get to see Postol-Crawford sometime next year.

 

I'd say they're having a great year. They put on a fantastic fight with Matthysse/Postol, a fantastic fight with GGG/Lemieux, and a fantastic fight with Canelo/Cotto.

It says a lot that they're willing to put their fighters in risky situations in order to give fans the best fights.

 

lol he was promoter of the year without any of those guys last year and started his company well before TMT. And I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss Canelo beating Cotto, Cotto is getting old and Canelo may be fighting him at the perfect time.
You should darn well hope Golden Boy continues on, they are one of the only legit, not crooked promotional companies that do everything they can to make the best fights fans want to see. Could you imagine Top rank and TMT only? LOL What a mess that would be.
