Decent chance it goes ten...until his most recent bout, Nicaraguan had never been stopped. That said he's gone down several times, so...crap shoot.

 

Manuel Flores vs. Jerson Alexander Ortíz Morraz, 10 rounds @ super bantamweight

 

Round 1

Southpaw jabs from Flores, baiting Ortíz into a jabbing duel that opens up the body for plunging right hooks from Flores. Wild left hook by Ortíz, countered by a short left uppercut that drops him hard. He beats the count at sevenish. Flores moves in, doubling jabs up top, hard straight left on the body, eager, gunning for the first round stoppage. Ortíz backed into the ropes but escapes. Lumpy left jabs by Ortíz still gathering his wits. Wide haymakers by Ortíz, avoiding the ropes and moving in to clinch. Flores wrenches his way free with body shots and drops him again with a cuffing right hook on the side of the head. This one a flash KD. Ortíz not hurt, but forty seconds left in the round and ref starting to raise an eyebrow. Flores resumes dominating as Ortíz tries clinching. Fast jabs and uppercuts by Flores. Ortíz stumbles around, throwing messy combos in the air.

I was thinking the whole round, sheesh, Vic's bet is hanging on by a thread.

 

Round 2

Flores is shredding him with combinations off the quick right jab. Body to head. Ortíz in trouble, languishing on the ropes. Few more salvos by Flores, ref has seen enough and jumps in.

"Gucci Manny" Flores (god I hate that nickname) gets back in the W column after dropping a UD to Walter Santibanes in June, and improves to 16-1 with his twelfth kayo.
