i like how you put a bunch of dollar signs and trust me thats exactly what GGG sees when he looks at canelo

in a perfect world the true champ GGG should get 60/40 but when the fight does 1m buys are you going to turn around and deny that canelo bought 90% of those buys in?

yeh i agree the fight WILL GO AHEAD. so sick of people claiming x is going to duck y when its very very clear its just a matter of time. remember ward was supposed to duck kova (fight got signed) then ward was supposed to pull out with an injury

Agree 100% regarding Ward, there were a lot of threads about him pulling out, "won't believe it until he's in the ring", etc.

I do think criticism of Canelo last year was justified though when he dropped the belt; after inviting GGG into the ring he ought to have made a reasonable offer ($8 million at 155 lb was the reported offer, that's not reasonable). Note that I mostly blame Oscar for that, I think that Canelo himself would have taken the GGG fight but Oscar DLH insisted on delaying it (like he admitted he tried to do with Trout / Lara, thankfully Canelo put his foot down and forced GBP to make the fight).

But anyway, I think both teams are serious about fighting this year, hopefully it happens and all that is consigned to history.

I was one that said that Kiwi After all Ward had only fought 4 times in 5 years. I thought he would pull out . I think he was really forced into the fight. Had he pulled a Canelo type back out his career would have been over. I hope the rematch is signed soon & we end up with a legit champion & no contraversy

Was Oscar sober and in or out of rehab when this "information" was made available . :borra2:

GGG doesn't need Canelo since he gave up the belt rather than fight GGG . I can see Golovkin retiring either this year or next if he beats Jacobs and then Saunders . Retire on top , watch his millions of dollars grow . :applaudit:

I agree with your last sentence!

In regards to the former, it wasn't only you at all, the forum was full of "no way Ward gets in the ring" threads. But as long as people are willing to admit when they're wrong I'm cool with it, I've been wrong plenty of times myself on lots of things.

However, I believe in giving fighters the benefit of the doubt. Meaning if they pull out / duck / etc. I'll criticize them, but not until then.

My opinion is that a lot of Mexican casuals still love Canelo. Although GGG has a lot of casual fans, most of them don't bother or want to spend money to buy ppvs. Mexican casuals are more committed, they do buy ppvs.

He doesn't want to take chump change on what he views as a huge ppv success. And by he I mean Loeffer. Genady would have signed the moment he saw the contract.

Canelo did 300k with smith after being a proven ppv performer. GGG did 150 k on his debut. To me that sounds about even.

Why did Mayweathers do so well ?? People fall for the hype, they are like sheep
I support FIGHTERS!!!!!!!!!!!! not Prima Donnas I would rather pay to watch evenly matched club fighters give their all than watch prima donnas like Mayweather run round a ring may as well watch dancing with the stars
