Is this good or bad? Can we see more corrupt decisions? I think so.

I trust GBP more than any other promotional company right now.

I don't see any negatives to this deal. Gennady in particular can be a big star.

If they spent 3 years building Dz up for when Kirkland finally emerges from the booty house, Id say it's a job well done by GBP.

Finally, we'll be able to know who Dzinzurik is here in the States! Said it before, will say it again, dudes got one of the best jabs in boxing right now... Can't wait to see him pick apart Kirkland,if the fight ever comes thru..

Kirkland is going to prison in September and Ortiz's 'stepping stone' already gave him a kicking!

Well yes Dzindziruk is pretty skilled boxer but IMO James Kirkland is a Beast and walks him down.

IIRC, prior to this point, Oscar de La Hoya has never been associated with any corrupt decisions...

This is great and that WBO Champ DZ is 6 feet tall with a strong jab. We will see better fights. Ortiz - MAidana was a barnburner.

Universum lost their TV contract with ZDF -- a large boardcaster. Starting 2010 they might be without a TV broadcaster. That's why they're probably looking for a plan B so at least their fighters can stay busy in the US.

This is very good news for all parties involved. Those 3 deserve some US exposure and the backing to land the bigger fights, Golden Boy immediately adds some world class depth to its stables, and US fans will get to see some pretty good fighters who weren't on our boxing radar in action.

I think this is good. Will be easier to make moe interesting match-ups.
I wonder if this was a result of the recent promoters conference. I would like to see more promoters team up like this.
