Well canelo has to gain 5 lbs oppose to 8 lbs . Ggg doesnt hold a super middle belt n also ._ ggg n canelo r mandated to fight n last ward wasnt ever gunna fight ggg he was super inactive at the time n still is, so he woulda done the same thing he is doing right now take a few fights to get sharp so hes rdy for the heavy hitters

Canelo didn't demand to fight cotto .....cotto wanted to fight him....same with sergio.....cotto didn' put a gun to his head and said u have to fight me and it has to be a cw....lol

What is it that ggg is worried about? Making 155? Or the validity of winning the belt at 155?

He said he could dor 154 for a guy that dominated canelo ........and that belt is already 4x in a row defended under 160 so I hope he's not worried about validity ....

If Canelo fought ggg at 160 and ggg won does it mean anything since canelo didn't win it at the full limit?

 

The sanctioning bodies should never let titles be defended on catch weights. That's the real issue here.

I actually like Canelo a lot, I think he's a helluva fighter whose fought some very tough competition for the past 3 years. It sucks that he's being looked at in this negative light, but he has himself/management to blame. Alphabet titlists and true champions should never be allowed to fight for their title if they're going to implement a catch weight stipulation.

It's ok IMO for the "A-side" to call the shots as far as gloves, ring size, venue, paycuts, etc. But no one should be allowed to force their opposition into catch weight fights unless it's a non-title bout.
