i want so see how JMM looks against Diaz first, if he's anything other than impressive Khan shouldn't take the fight.
Marquez solved Diaz "within a fight" and will destroy him after having over a year to think about it. This fight is a confidence booster for Marquez - nothing more!
He's not saying to fight at a catchweight, he's saying it would be better for Marquez to come in at a more comfortable weight rather than trying to bulk up to the 140 limit, similar to Mayweather coming in at 150 to fight De La Hoya for the 154 title.
Marquez will be his hardest fight to date. Khan has looked much better since the KO loss to Prescott but let's be honest..... Salita was probably the worst fighter ever to challenge for any major title, glass chin, no boxing skills etc. I don't see why Marquez wouldn't take this fight and fancy his chances of winning. He's a harder, more accurate puncher than Khan has been in with, the uppercut and short rights will tell their toll before the referee steps in around the 10th.
Um, you do know he doesn't have to weigh 140 on the dot right? He would have to weigh less than 140, that's all.
So JMM Beats the hell out of a few guys at 140 and faces the best 147 pound fighter in the world and hes shot? I dont think hes shot. I dont think he shoyuld take the fight either though. Kahn is too Tall
A lot of this will depend on how JMM looks against Diaz. But at his age, size disadvantages, and current string of rough fights, JMM is going to be the underdog here. Great matchmaking by Khan's people and a dangerous risk for JMM who would be better off tying to get a fight with Morales.
