Ok thanks for clarifying that Rico.:good I don't think any Champion would feel like he won a title by having it handed to him without having to fight for it, so lets just hope that Canelo fights him now. Marinating a fight sounds wonderful and all that, but there are times when a man has to do what a man has to do.....vacating your title and watching another man take it off you is like watching another man walk off with your girl and not doing anything about it. Considering all the talk that GGG hasnt fought anyone and is over rated, has a resume full of "bums" or tomato cans, and has no defense, i think this would be the spectacular fight that Mayweather vs Pacman wasn't. It will do good numbers, and be a great fight for boxing.

Tired of this. You mean marinate, get everybodys hopes up, create hype that is impossible to live up to, leaving millions of fans ****ed off come fight night, and then having PPV sales mysteriously dry up for the next few PPVs? Have they still not learned from Mayweather / Pacquaio? You get one mega event while several other PPVs suffer from the hangover of a hyped fight that had no chance to ever meet the unrealistic expectations that the hype promised. Sounds about right for boxing.

For the real boxing fan the time is now.

For the casuals who well outnumber the knowledgeable, GGG needs to fight a name fighter before a Canelo fight happens.


I think the fight sells 1.2 to 1.4mil buy if its done next.
It nearly doubles that if the fight marinates another year and is held in 2017.

 

If there is one thing to learn from Mayweather-Pacquiao is that the casuals will buy in droves the more the fight is held up.
