Coisty defo found his niche as a commentator. Tbf he was a very good assistant manager to Walter Smith but out of his depth as a manager. That’s interesting about Gerrard’s autobiography comments. Something must have sparked his fire there especially since Rangers were a basket case of a club when he took over. He really could (and could still) harm his reputation badly if it is to go wrong but looks like he’s on his way to success now.
Covid came at the right time for him and Rangers as he was on the brink of leaving - if Celtic won at Ibrox he was on his way.
Either one could get stopped in this fight. Quality, loving it. ps obviously Bolotnik is bossing it, you just sense he could also catch one.
McCoist Rangers were romping to the SPL title until everything when tits up off the field and it effected on field performances. He is a great pundit mind. Super Ally.
True but I think he was benefiting from inheriting Walter’s squad. It’s a bit like how Lennon did well initially on his return because he just inherited Rodgers’ squad and tactics but now it’s gone tits up. McCoist made some shocking decisions in the lower leagues like signing Kevin Kyle and giving him £2k a week in the third division. He had a chance to start from scratch and develop an attractive ball playing team but went in the wrong direction. I still like him though, he’s great on IG and I love it when he commentates on our games instead of that ***** Andy Walker.
The Latvian surely cannot get Tel O'Connored on the cards here. The German lad has put in a great effort to still be in there.
I agree he went the wrong way when we went down the leagues. Remember in bottom league we played Queens Park and Andy Robertson was playing for them (crazy to think) and he was best player on the park and my dad turned to me after 10 mins of the match and said if McCoist does not sign that boy he is clueless.
