I fight the 23rd (of this month) for my first fight in the New York Daily News' Golden Gloves. I've been in the gym for probably 2 weeks? lol (back to the gym that is, after about a year and a half off).

I also feel like my stamina has increased substantially. . First day I could barely spar 3 rounds, last time I sparred I did 9 (after running 2 miles on the treadmill).

Just wanted to share =P no real intention behind this post.
Good Luck to anyone else competing! :good

Now time to go to the gym; 9 to 3!

Good luck mate, let us know how it works out. I'm probably fighting on the 23rd as well, my trainer is attending the draw for the tournament right now.

is it 3x2 novice or open class 3x3 ?? i think the novice champs in the uk are fairly new and a good idea too.

It's still 3x2 novice, as far as I know Doucheland hasn't made the switch to 3x3 yet for most classes (N, C, and B). It's 3x3 in the A class.

Thanks guys! It's just a matter of being physically in shape because I'm ready mentally.. I'll be in the gym four days this week, along with 2 days of hard sparring, and I'll just rest Friday. I'll keep ya updated..

Good luck in your fight RDJ, let me know how it goes!
