If Golden Ploy is offering Golovkin $15 million, they KNOW that they have a MASSIVE BLOCKBUSTER on their hands. Therefore, $15 million is a JOKER OFFER AND OBVIOUS DUCK MOVE (not unlike the garbage $40 million that Floyd used to duck Pac).

    Real talk, my ninjas.

    The differences are ocean's apart.

Manny Pacquiao was an established PPV star before he met up with Floyd. Granted his numbers were starting to wane on a fight by fight basis, but he was clearly the #2 PPV star in the world. He held off from that deal, and rightfully so.

Gennady's sole PPV performance did somewhere between 97 to 150 k buys. His team does a great job making sure the venues get filled out, but he's not a PPV star. Him getting a career payday where he's making nearly double as much as any fight he's been in should be more than enough to entice him in a fight with Alvarez.

In fact, since he is the clear B-Side he should just have faith in his abilities, beat Alvarez and negotiate a rematch where Gennady takes a bigger portion of the lion's share.

You used Manny-Pac as your example, but I think the perfect example is Oscar vs Floyd. Floyd wasn't a PPV star at that point and had to take around half the amount that Oscar made. Mayweather was the clear B-side from the PPV standpoint, but it helped ignite a nearly ten year run of him as the PPV cashcow of the sport.

The Mayweather fight was a death sentence for Pacquiao, whereas GGG would be expected to beat Canelo and gain notoriety.

Golovkin is fighting everyone, Jacobs in March, next World champion Saunders and El Pollo, if Oscar and El Pollo will get into the ring.................El Pollo had his chance to fight Golovkin, but in stead he dropped his 160 lb. title, said it was too high in weight, so now he will fight Chavez at 164.5 lbs...................El Pollo is a damned liar, so is Oscar!

After doing the math, I thought $10 mil was a good offer. It fell just 3-4 mil shy of what I think he'll make anyway. With $15 mil, I think he'll actually make more than this fight is worth. He should sign immediately. This is not May-Pac. Not even close.

Nothing wrong with the 15mill TBF. 3G's mgmt hasn't declined it, because as far as we know, there isn't a set deadline from GBP for that offer. Unless someone has info on that.

Y'all need to chill the eff out and let them have their fights first.

GGG should be ashamed of himself and take the fight. Losing to a better skilled boxer like Canelo won't be frowned upon it will be expected. If he wins, he has all that much more to brag about and maybe his basic ass will move up to super middle and fight some formidable opponents. GGG is the equivalent of a less skilled mike Tyson cleaning out the cruiserweight division. Sure Mike had the size to fight cruiser, but he manned up like a boss and fought heavyweight
