Goldenboy prospect Ryan Garcia... Legit or nah?

I saw him fight a couple months ago.. he does have fast hands.. Needs more experience but he looked promising on the fight. Definitely too early to say still but well see.

 

Last time I saw him he was struggling to take out a 37 year old construction worker. He had the speed and angles but no power. Also saw a video of him sparring some TMT guy and when he started to get tagged he was in full retreat mode, not a good look. He's fast and talented for sure, got the looks of a star but we will see.

 

only seen a couple of fhis fights but from what ive seen his speed is ridiculous but i'd a bit worried by how rigid and upright his body looks

EDIT: just watching this and noticed it. 4:05-4:08, he scores a knockdown at the end of it with a nice counter, but if thats a more talented, heavy handed fighter in there, he could be in trouble

Met him in 07 at a show at the high desert. Dude was so disappointed when his match fell through.

Him and Devin Haney apparently went 3-3 in the Amateurs

 

215-15 overall record, not bad. (especially with only a dozen other losses excluding the ones to Haney)
