GBP is taking some bold moves to monopolize boxing.

Get ready for an era of shitty competition and "you'll take what we give you" match-making.

Nah he said on the 5 year anniversary of his first win over BHOP on a Little Rock radio station that after his birthday (which was in August) that he was traveling to Miami to meet with Pat Burns and if Pat felt that he could get back to the top, that he was going to unite with Pat and give it one more run and see what happens. As a native Arkansan and Little Rock dude, I'm happy to see him give it another shot, personally I think he would be much more effective at 160 and this should be his course of action but I can't say if that's the plan or not. He's my dude, so selfishly I'm happy about this, but I understand the concern expressed by many here. He's a proud champion and I don't think he would/could accept it ending the way it did, he's better than what his last 3 to 4 fights showed, and I think getting back with Burns will bring back his jab, improve his conditioning, and allow him to make another run. Time will tell I guess.

Interesting. Pat Burns might help him. I hope Jermain cleared his head with the time off and I wish him success.

maybe he can go get a job at the local super market or walmart.....
maybe you can pay his bills
he has 3 ko losses , just like alot of people....hell oleg mascaev was knocked out 7 times (8 when retired) but i never heard anyone say he should retire...all they would say is that vtali was ducking him.....telling JT to retire is an ESBrobot post, IE politcal correct thing to say.....how about Paulie M? he took beatings from cotto and khan for the entire fight, not just a knock out blow which is actually better than a 1 hour beat down.

one thing still is clear....GBP would not be where they are without HBO.

I read somewhere that HBO's contract with them is set to expire soon(?), signing these guys shows worry or desperation.

...and after they can't even deliver their fighter to a negotiated contract done by Greenburg, I also think GBP should be worried.
