The problem is most outbox Mathysse.....however, Mathysse is usually the one who "out fights" his foes. That would be a great fight but I wouldn't go betting the bank on Pederson over Lucas. He wears them boys out when he's in the ring against better, technically skilled boxers. Lamont has a little fire that could be his achilles heal against someone like Mathysse.

    The thing is this.

Matthysse should be getting his shot at Garcia already. But since Garcia is fighting Judah, I suppose I dont have a problem with such an awesome fight as Lucas vs Lamont happening in the meantime, but I kinda see this as GBP making two of the most dangerous guys fight eachother while Garcia stands back. However, as long as Garcia fights the winner, I dont have a problem with it, lets be real.... its a great fight.

The other thing is, I think Peterson could very well beat Matthysse, and there goes Matthysse's shot that he should have already gotten against Garcia.

Or, maybe this becomes such a brutal fight that it puts dents in both guys.

Anyways, its truly an awesome fight. And heres hoping that Garcia is forced to fight the winner.

The WBC has already said that Garcia has to fight Matthysse next.

So from Lucas's teams viewpoint (because we know Lucas would fight anyone, anywhere, anytime)

Why take a tough tough fight you could very likely lose (Matthysse/Peterson is close to 50/50) when you are already in line to get Garcia.

Idk.... it would suck but I could see Lucas's team not being thrilled over this fight.

But whatever, its a great fight and I am indeed happy that GBP is once again putting on a great card. I think they have established themselves as having the premier cards these days, imo.

    Talk about two 50/50 fights.

Typical goldenboy protection. Matthysse and Peterson are the best of the 140, so they let them take eachother out instead of match them up with the hypejobs of garcia/broner. What a waste for mattysse and peterson to fight eachother now vs fighting later after clearing the garbage

Man, who cares. Do you want to see a great fight or not? The winner will get Garcia anyway, so it hardly matters.

HE doesn't even know the top comp in 135 and doesn't even care, so he should just move up, but he will continue fighting nobodies at 135 then go to 140 when the water is calm

interesting if it comes through. If Lucas is next in line for Garcia then why fight Peterson, especially in DC? That makes nooooo sense.
