they need to do something about the cruiserweight division, maybe change the name or something, its got athletic, mobile fighters with power and instead these obese heavys get more pub. btw you couldn't pay me to see this fight, can't believe its happening
Apparently you either didnt even watch the Austin fight or you do not know what a flash knockdown is. Austin didnt even come close to knocking Golota out, despite Golota fighting with only one arm. Oh yeah and Ray Austin is 6'6 and weighs over 250 lbs. Adamek is a blown up cruiser weight. I highly doubt Adamek would even attempt to rush Golota.
How could I forget, Golota must have told that same joke at least a dozen times. Even to this day he probably still tells it and thinks it's still funny. :yep
Didn't come close? atsch 2nd knockdown that was ruled a slip should have been a KD and had Golota flopping all over the place the ENTIRE round and before the arm injury. Either way Adamek KO 1. Golota's a joke and shoulda retired years ago.
The arm injury happened inside the first minute of the fight and the second "knockdown" happened under a minute left in the round, with an obvious one armed Golota lunging forward with a right hand. Seriously, did you even watch or are you just talking out of your ass? If Adamek wins, it wont be via first round KO.
If Cunningham could find a lucrative payday, then he would look toward that instead of wanting to fight Adamek. Put the boot on the other foot. Look, neither fighter in a big name. Adamek won the fight at a crucial moment for both fighters. It was always going to be possible that the loser of this fight was going to be on the outside looking in, and that the winner might have something: Adamek is reaping his reward. Even before the fight, Hopkins was saying, "If Adamek wins, I will challenge him". So Adamek was winning this Cunningham fight in hope of bigger things. HBO couldn't guarantee a $3.5m licence fee for Adamek-Hopkins. The Golota fight was offered, so he took it.
if only Cunningham could have a "garbage fight" that pays well. Adamek-Golota is a "meantime" fight only. It will give Adamek great fame in Poland, and - brighten up - they might be able to bring Cunningham over to Poland for a big fight afterward.
Andrew's arm was almost immediately injured. I never saw it from a a good angle to see if it was a slip or not but at that moment Andrew's arm was already injured and the announcers at ringside said that it was not a legit knockdown.
