Clear dislocation and clear tactical error in the first seconds. Not much more for him to do now aside from earn money if he feels like it.
yeah I think he was in a few comas...plus he is now 40 or over I think...Saleta wont fight again....:tired :!:
Golota was a waste of talent, he was never as good as the big 3 BUT in 01 had he had his **** together he could have been a decent belt holder.
One of the things about Golota that always stayed with me was how he even became a pro in the US. Alot of people aren't aware of the fact that he basically fled Poland because of legal troubles and came to the US to be a truck driver. As far as he was concerned, his boxing career was over. I don't know what the precipitating event was that got him back into boxing but those types of circumstances leave alot of unanswered questions. Overall, you'd have to say his career has been a disappointment but in a way he was always somewhat of an endearing figure to fans because he was so mentally flawed. Alot of people, myself included, wanted to see him win but time and time again he came up short. I guess at the end of the day you have to just put things in perspective and appreciate the fact that despite his many shortcomings as a fighter we were happy to root for him and will miss him when he officially retires.
No way he dislocated his elbow. It was clear he hurt his elbow but no way did he dislocate it because if he did you would see it. [YT]1DM3iQ7oqZU[/YT] Eddie Guerrero dislocated his elbow right then and you clearly see it. His arm looks like a piece of string. No way Golota's was dislocated because he wouldn't have been able to even try and throw a punch with his left hand let alone land a few like he did. Either way Golota's sucks and should retire.
There are different levels of dislocation. Golota may have had a partial dislocation (subluxation), but the point is that the bones were not aligned.
He is slower but defense isn't that bad. If you think about how important is speed to win title see Peter-Vitaly or Valuev. Styles make fights and there is no big age advantage if someone try do Brewster on you .... just hold on like a Wlad untill the guy is done. Golota don't need his light speed from prime time, he need learn from masters how to hold tight the guy who shot fluries on him.
Golota is usually in a panic mode when he gets a big hit abandoning whatever semblance of defense he has. It also shows how weak his defense is.
I was pulling for Golota to win his big fight...it's too bad. King can probably cash in one more time in Chicago though...
Don't forget that Golota was almost knocked down by Mcbride in the first round as well and ended up winning by 6th round TKO.
