Golota was a classic "what if" heavyweight. He had the physical tools to be great. Unfortunately, he turned out to be another one of many that couldn't maximize their boxing potential and sabotaged himself.

As far as this fight goes, it probably winds up similar to the Bowe fights with Andrew finding a lot of success but blowing it later on. It's not out of the question by any stretch that Golota KO's Peter before it gets to that point, but I'd bet on a Peter KO or DQ win personally.

Golota had the natural talent to have become champion. Golota would fight a very good fight, then next time he would just freeze. Golota had mental problems, if not for that he would have been a world champion. He destroyed Bowe's career..............

I agree that there's a difference between Wlad that has just become safety first in the Peter fight and prime Golota. Golota, unless he'd get caught very early, would put a helluva peppering on Peter (watch the Pou'ha fight to see what I mean).

It's of course very possible that Golota ruins Peter. I actually think he ruins him in this fight win or lose. It took something really special to make Golota crumble mentally those days. I just assume that with Peter's very solid chin and will, he would get caught sooner or later and some kind of biting/butting/hitting low would take place.

Golotas raw ability is often exaggerated.

Dude had a decent jab and OK workrate. This would be a 50-50 type matchup, wouldn't put it beyond Golatta to beat Peter up for some 10 odd rounds and then freak out and quit on the stool or something like that when Sam comes on strong late.
