He's also fighting a guy who's basically a regional fighter. If he can't beat this guy, he should really hang 'em up.
mollo has quick hands and puts full body torque into his punches. if he comes out and lets rip at golota in the first round , i beleive he might be able to surprise and stop the big man. he has always been susceptible to this tatic in the past. golota seems to need a couple of rounds to warm up. if mollo lets golota get his rythem from range golota will time the rushes and outbox mollo
Mollo is as limited as they come. Aside from an early round KO, this fight is Golota's to take because he is superior on every other single boxing attribute (not that Mollo is much better defensively). At a ripped 237lbs, Golota is in superb shape for someone who is 40yrs old. Guys like Toney, Rahman and Briggs should take training/diet advice from AG.
I agree. Beating this guy will be no great feat, but I think it should be enough to get him into a good fight, next, if not a title shot, as King has said.
Golota's already WBC #10...and while Mollo has a lower WBC ranking (20), he's also #8 with the WBA. So I reckon yeah, if Golota wins this fight Don will be able to finangle a title shot for one of those two.
Povetkin is easily the best of the up and coming lot. I don't think there are any promising American up and comers.
We can only HOPE that he'd have to do SOMETHING to justify yet another title shot, but I fear that if he wins this fight, he will get a shot. Given that he was basically robbed against Ruiz, and also Byrd, I can't complain too much about that. Golota puts fannies in the seats, that's why he keeps getting shots.
Golota as long as king is by his side and he can win tonight will fight for a title. NEVER EVER doubt the power of don king. Plus golota is still one of the largest if not the largest draw in the heavyweight division
