Tua needs fights like this to get ready for a championship bout. I think he ko's Golota though but it might end up a really good fight. It could be a good challange for Tua.
Golota wins this one on fast *precision* punching alone. If and when he decides to throw anything hard he stops Tua that same round.
Who is this Tua character you guys are talking about? I THINK I remember someone by that name but he hasn't fought since (I believe) the 80's.
Left Hook, I've heard two versions. I heard that Golota jabbed him to death in sparring, before Tua buzzed him with his left hook, knocking Golota off balance and on one leg. The other version is that Golota got upset that he couldn't hurt Tua, and proceeded to go to the nuts. Tua returned nut fire and Golota became angry. This was while they were under Main Events. Duva became enraged.
Tua knocks him out early, give me a guy with good power and a decent chin, and all they have to is go in there and swarm Golota with shot after shot until he drops, guys like Briggs, Tua, and Peter would all drop him in short fashion. If you watched Golota, his best matches over the last 5 years are against guys who have average power or guys who look to box him instead of going for the kill early. He did well against Bryd because he had no power, he also had a close match with Ruiz who was floored a couple times by him. Then when stepped up against a big puncher like Brewster, he got destroyed.
Tua by KO right now, since he is much less shot and will walk through anything Golota throws. Golota's chin is very weak now and Tua still has very good power and alright speed. I watched Golota vs Bates/McBride today and remembered again how shot Golota actually is. He has the reflexes of a 50 year old man at this point. His power/pop is no longer even half of what it was in his prime, he's slow, has balance issues, and he's perhaps the most robotic looking fighter I've ever seen. If Mollo swarms him right away he will knock him out quickly. Golota will be overwhelmed by his speed/aggression and will have trouble catching Mollo coming in because of how low he fights with his already short HW height. With Golota's ultra-robotic style it is difficult and awkward for him to punch down for some reason. But the great thing about this matchup is that Mollo has **** defense and a weak chin, so Golota has some chance. Go Golota!
Tua would stop Golota right now. Hell, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Mollo stopped Golota.
