Rumsy I have to be honest with you... Valuev is too much for Golota these days, hell... Golota doesn't even have the stamina to be boxing anymore. Golotas only chance is a Peter fight.. other then that he's pretty much standing as a huge underdog.
Peter would lay Golota out early, he has no defense, lethargic movement, and cant stand in there with a big puncher early in fights. Peter is not the most skilled fighter out there, but he has extremely heavy hands, highly aggressive, and has probably the best killer instinct I seen in a Heavyweight since Tyson.
Punisher33 don't get me wrong, Peter would be the favorite. BUT, Golota has superior boxing skills next to this man, and an iron-cast chin despite what has happened to him, sure he got stopped by Brewster and Lewis, but that was because they rushed him. Laying Golota out is a hard task, the man is huge and has a huge neck.. he's not glass joe. Golota either gets fouled and stopped on the ropes covering up, or he outjabs Peter.:good
Now the dumb reasons why Peter would knockout Golota out early, watch a few young George Foreman fights and come back and tell me if he hit behind the head. Peters power makes fighters turn there back to him, as well put there head down to avoid there punches, watch the Wlad fight from 05, Wlad looked like panic stricken little girl in there match, constantly turning his back, and clinching too avoid Peters onslaught. The rule book states, protect yourself at all times, you give your back up to your oppenent you deserve the consequences of your actions. Ask Frazier who's fault it was when he turned his back to Foreman or when Hearns turned his back to Hagler.
He took punches from Riddick Bowe and Mike Tyson to name a few. Golota would get floored...but I don't see him getting KO'd unless he panics, freaks out and goes into deer in headlights mode. I would hate to see that fight go into the latter rounds...they'd be so blown up, they could shut down compubox and have Larry Merchant count the punches thrown.
Fair enough Magic, Golota does still have power in both hands, and given Peters performance against McCline, Golota can hurt Peter, I just dont see it happening. Golota cant handle pressure well, something guys like Tyson and Brewster put on him early, and ended up making quick work of him. Golota does not have the reflexes or nerves to stop a Peter attack, thats just my opinion.
I don't mind seeing Golota face Valuev. I kind of like the crazy fella. But Valuev is gonna beat the **** out of him.
It's always been the foul poles achilles heel, and Peter would indeed know what to do if they eventually gets to dance together in the ring :good I would love to see this fight happen and all we can do is speculate.. but you're damn right that Golota has lost all his reflexes, his stamina is not there anymore, once he's winded thats it, 15 punches per round.. he's too big and too old to get a second wind these days. Peter would probably stop him, but if by some miracle, Peter does not rush him and do the right thing, it could be an intriguing fight :hey
Rumsy thats uncalled for. I used to hate Valuev more than anything else in boxing, but now I miss his activity, at least we saw a heavyweight who fought actively. And as for his "huge advantages" according to the media, it's overrated.. he's been struggling with his height more than he's succeeded because of it.
