A meeting with Chagaev is bad news for Golota's health. It might kill off his last few remaining brain cells.

Not yet but if he gets past Mollo in January, you KNOW Don King will be pushing HARD for this fight to be made. And it probably will get made.

It's a tough fight for him but definietly winnable.

Golota was robbed of a title and should have one on his resume, but this fight just isn't right, Chagaev should be looking to fight another champion.

Styles make fights. Golota's style is tailor made for Chagaev IMO.
Chagaev will probably knock the Pole out within the first 2-3 rounds.

No way Golota is quicker than Chagaev.

Although Im pretty sure he'd destroy Mollo, I dont think that

    A) Beating Mollo should warrant a title shot, and

    B) He'd have much chance at beating Chagaev.

I like Golota, dont get me wrong. But watching him when he fought the horrendous McBride, and seeing how many unnecessary shots he took from the big Irishman tells me that Golota isn't where he needs to be to take the belt from him. Just wont happen. He'll get outboxed if he tries.

Well, if "old" is a style, then correct.

:DWell, Golota is an old geezer+...................he has the totally wrong style to beat Chagaev IMO.Golota is a stationary target, and Chagaev isnt the fastest fighter out there.Chagaev would be able to land dozens of his powerful shots, and Golota hasnt the best chin out there.
And Chagaev can take a good punch.
Of course Golota isnt a bum,and he,too, has a chance to win such a fight, but I for my part very much doubt it.

i dont think its the second worst fight out there for golota. chagaev doesn't rush in and jump on guys which is the easiest way to beat golota. hes not to quick either.

Chagaev would have too such savvy and skill for Golota. Chagaev, as shown by his victory over the giant Valuev, is not easily intimidated, and has a smart boxing head on his shoulders. Chagaev would easily decision Golota.

given that chagaev just had a battle with a rolly polly 40 year old sprott, golota should have a chance

    "Sprott"?:huh

I thought he just fought Skelton?

Good fight. Nothing for Golota to be intimidated about, no 1st round KO, & AG imposes his now-determined will over the small Rusky.

    Poland vs Russia

What more could you ask for?:happy
