Golota vs. Ibragimov

you know what! I think Golota has chance! If Sultan would jump on him he would ko him easy but if he will try to play it safe i think Golota could catch him an KTFO iggy!

 

Golota barely made it out of the first rounds against the slow oaf Mcbride! He did look a lot better in the rounds after that, but i still think he'd lose a wide decision to Sultan if he makes it out of the first round.

 

It's funny how some people here don't learn from their mistakes.


Plenty of people thinking Holyfield was back, shoulder healed, he looked spectacular against lesser opposition and Sultan is a weak title holder, he can win!
Then he gets dominated.

Now Golota is supposed to be back on track, looks impressive against lesser opposition and can take Sultan because he is a weak title holder...... anyone with a brain can see the similarity.

 

So that just means he's overdue................

No really, I see Sultan as having a decent chin and a strange style that would confuse the easily confusable Golota into doing something stupid. Sue me.

 

I didn't see Golota vs. McBride but I did see his fight prior to that and he's a real slow starter now who hesitates when he throws. That would play perfectly into Sultan's style of counter punching in combination when Golota misses.

One thing Sultan def. has is good handspeed.................

 

Golota is bigger, thicker, stronger, and more athletic. Golota has more power and can throw 10 punch combinations, even at age 39. Ibragimov could end up getting outboxed and/or out man-handled.

 

i dont think golota now or 10 years ago beats iggy, but i do think golota can possibly beat sam peter...

 

I think Golota takes a UD.

 

Yeah but Holyfield's punch output was very good against the likes of Savarese/Oquendo as well. Against Ibragimov, most of the time he simply couldn't get his punches off.
Golota had someone who is big and slow who just kept standing in front of him; he could get plenty of punches off.

Ibragimov (much to my frustration, against Holyfield) keeps moving his feet, mostly backwards and sideways and then all of a sudden come in with some fast punches.


I'm not saying Sultan is that much special, he's simply a good contender. And let's be honest, that has been enough to beat Golota even in his prime, very often.

 

Ibragimov on points, Golota is way too slow to hurt him.

 

Why does anyone even care about Golota anymore? Anyone who does has to be a masochist.

 

Ibragimov would win by UD. Golota would have his moments but Sultan is too fast.

 

Can Adamek beat Golota? He seems to be much faster also.

 

Golota obviously has a tremendous fan base, but that's not the point. The point is that even at age 39 he could still do some damage in the division. Sultan's speed might do him as much good as Byrd's speed... Golota beat Byrd to a pulp.
