    What a good fight!

This is one of those results that past me by at the time and this is as much as I have seen of it. Needless to say, Orlin seems to be ding very well here. Golota has only lost to Bowe, Lewis and Grant at this point and you would think, has every advantage over a 5’9” built up cruiserweight.

Cool to see somebody else likes this fight. Rather underrated fight. It was so amazing to me how such a small guy like Norris could more than hold his own against the huge Andrew Golota.

In a way, this proves Rocky Marciano could beat super heavyweights.

Ya, I thought Norris was almost pushing a draw.

How so? Orlin and Rocky had completely different styles. They were similar in height but Orlin didn't have Rocky's power but then again, Rocky was far more hittable. Not too mention Golota is hardly an unbeatable super heavyweight especially the version that Orlin fought.

I think he means that both fighters are pretty much equal in status, but Norris is very small and he almost beat Golota. I think he means that if Norris could almost beat Golota, Marciano could beat someone of his status, but of a much bigger size, like say, John Tate.

Replace Golota with Lennox Lewis and then how do you see Norris doing? I don't Norris makes it to the middle rounds.

I agree. Lewis is just on a different level. Golota and Norris are probably around the same skill level, explaining what made it such a close fight.

Orlin didn’t have the punch needed to earn the kind of respect an equally sized David Tua could against Lewis.

I imagine had Tua not been such a hard hitter Lewis might have been able to come forward throwing bombs.

Considering how outsized Norris was, this is probably one of his greatest performances in a way.
