Ustinov isn't very skilled and he was in the worst shape of his career. A 300 pound lump and he is Pulev's best win.

Interesting question. Without thinking about it "Golota" but after thinking about it "Pulev". Golota had an underrated jab and his upper body movement and footwork were very good for a heavyweight. That makes Golota seem like the winner. However, Golota did have a tendency to fall apart in big fights, his chin wasn't as good as Pulev's chin. Golota might even show up for the fight comfortably numb as he did in his misadventure against Lewis. Pulev seems to have more of a will to win than Golota and I think Golota might have a difficult time landing a punch on Pulev. Golota liked to swing and land punches that were like slaps or palm heel strike and the way Pulev carries his guard seems ideal for blunting Golota's offense. I think Pulev would sweep the middle to late rounds and win a decision.

Pulev is bigger, longer, much more aggressive (which is a huge negative for Golota) and has beaten better opposition.

    Pulev
    1) Tony Thompson
    2) Alexander Dimitrenko
    3) Alexander Ustinov

    Golota
    1) Tim Witherspoon
    2) Danell Nicholson
    3) Kevin McBride

Good point, and Pulevs jab is also underrated. I almost forgot how good jab he had until i re-watched Pulev-Dimitrenko. One could compare that fight with Golota-Grant. Also: Pulev does not have to open up as much as Golota. He usually just dominate fights with the jab itself.

I think prime Pulev is the better fighter actually.

    agreed.

That Pulev defense is wide open right up the middle. The problem is, that's not the punches Andrew threw.

And I sure don't like that Golata defense 1 iota and everyone lands their punches on Golata.

Maybe a Mike Grant type fight w/o the early knockdowns. Golata out of the gate good but an opponent that won't go away and digs deep. And opponent that gets better round by round and that increased effectiveness is the problem. Andrew falters and finds a way to lose during the 2nd half of the fight.

It would make for a good fight to watch but the loser has a stock price that drops about 400%.

So why did he agree to fight him? Did he sign the papers just to pull out.

His trainers brother , a close family member, Fury's uncle, died you dunce.

Think you are right here. Fury - just like Pulev - would have out jabbed Ustinov all night long.

I don't see it that way. Pulev had a pretty good chin, his guard would work well against the way Golota punched and Golota seldom put his toes under his punches instead opting to turn his waist into his punches, not an arm puncher but not getting his legs and hips behind the punch for the most part---although he did throw a proper left hook vs Po'oha.
