Golota vs Ruiz II

    Think about it...it could happen. Ruiz beats McCline & gets the winner of Maskaev vs Peter. If he wins that fight, he's WBC Champ again. Golota is currently 10th in the WBC rankings & you know King will force his hand to get AG that fight.

    I think even an old (but 10x more aggressive) Golota beats his ass good next time. AG won't let that one slip away again, like he did their 1st encounter.

    He would get pulled into a hug-fest like last time, but get the decision by outworking Ruiz.

    Golota won the 1st half of the fight, then let Ruiz do his ****-thing, plus let him get in a few good shots like this...

    Many observers said AG won the fight, with his (2) 2nd round KD's of Ruiz & JR getting a point deduction for fouling.
    But Golota let up near the end & you have to beat the Champion decisively & AG just didn't do enough to sway the judges.

    Close fight, but a good (bad for me) decision.

    He'd knock Ruiz down and outland Ruiz like he did the first time.

    Only THIS time, since Ruiz isn't with King anymore - he might get the decision he SHOULD have gotten the last time. :nod

    are u kidding me ? golota looked horribleeeeeeeee on the jones/trinidad undercard. dude almost dies in the 6th round. he needs to retire asap

    What does the 6th round have to do with anything? Talk about the 12th round, where a 40 yr old man was beating the stuffin' out of a 27 yr old, who was sucking wind bigtime, BTW.

    they both were, it was horrible. that was the comedy portion of the night. dont get me wrong i give golota mad props for going 12 rounds with his left eye looking like a *****. but he cant do it no more. he's done.

    He's not gonna look like the Golota of 1996. Ever again. He's on the comback trail & looking better in each fight he has. He's gonna continue to improve, you can count on it. And he doesn't have to look like he did in '96, cause even this old version of Golota will take down one of the lesser belt holder we currently have.

    Golota won the first fight! That decision was terrible right up there with DLH-Trinidad, DLH-Mosely II, Pacquiao-Marquez I.

    I think Golota would win a rematch, with an impartial set of judges and a ref who takes points for excessive holding.
