I always like Golota, he was the first of the eastern European heavyweights to make a real impact on world heavyweight boxing. But at 40 he has proabley left it too late to win a title.

I think he'd have a decent chance against Chageav and Maskeav.

I dont agree with you on that. But if he is to get one crack at a title, I hope it's soon. And then if he loses, he can retire gracefully. I dont like boxers fighting on to long.

Golota last night would have beaten Chag last night.

you should speak a little more respectfully of a warrior like fernando vargas IN THESE references. don't talk **** about someone who has just lost the fight, gave his heart out, and is unhappy about the loss. he was like that - if it was you in there you'd probably have pissed your pants from the impact of the punches and went into the ER on a stretcher.

  11. Vargas's ego wrote checks his broken down body couldn't cash:nono and he was knocked out sooner in the rematch:deal
Vargas talked to much trash, it was a pleasure to watch him get an ass whuppin...:good

there are a lot of people here who box. i believe you. and i myself would not do much better against world class boxers than the way i predicted for the previous poster. but the key difference is that i remember that when speaking of a fighter, a warrior - like vargas.

this is the internet. there's not much identity here. don't take it for something more than it is. posters here are not your best friends, they aren't going to solve your problems. what i think of you or what you think of me means very little. there is no "legacy". if there is any respect around the board - it is to keep an environment where people can have fun and not be distracted by vile language. but the main purpose is entertainment (esp general forum where there are lots of silly threads like wlad vs ali) and maybe a little bit of learning tidbits about fighters. nothing more than that.

why did i even bother to respond to that post or even write this to you? yes, partly i was ticked about that post. but my response isn't going to change the damn world or have much impact on him or you (and it shouldn't). i said it because it was my whim. lots of times i get bothered by silly posts (how can you put wlad in the ring with ali when the difference in track record / accomplishment is night and day) but i don't engage because it is the internet - not a dinner table discussion. me saying isn't going to change anything and that is never the purpose here anyway. people will still predict wlad by decision :patsch the key is fun and me posting on wlad vs ali isn't much fun.

so not that it matters or that anyone should or does care - but i have been around here for a long time. since 2003 actually. i just got rid of my old screen name because as i've told you - it is the internet and there is no identity. i wanted to make sure that was the case - rather than be a poster of any kind of "reputation" e.g. liston fan or tyson fan. hence the name anon - anonymous. ;)

i just noticed your avatar. any idea where i can get a large image of that? incidentally i am a tyson fan (not an apologist). do you know when in the fight that photo was taken? my guess is either 1 or 5.

btw...there have been many times when i've criticized a fighter e.g. byrd has no power - and even if his punch would give me a stiff neck (no more) - i don't criticize him when REFERRING to a moment where he's given it all, lost, and is very sad.
