Just watched back the Polish madmans wars with Bowe, and it got me thinking.

I know steroid use was rife in the 90's especially among the heavyweights and whilst watching the 2nd fight I noticed Golota with alot of acne on his back shoulders and neck. Noticeably different from the first fight.

Anyway can we attribute Golota's Madness and fragile mentality (future bouts with Tyson etc) to his obvious steroid abuse??

I don't believe we can attribute his lack mental fortitude to steroid abuse. The two issues are separate. Golota had a history of quitting when faced with adversity which often manifested itself in intentional fouls. I'm not saying he was a clean athlete, I have no idea either way, but if he did cheat I don't believe it was a factor in his fouls and quit jobs.
Holyfield never quit and there is more red flags of him being an abuser of steroids than most other heavies of the decade.

I hear What your saying and he clearly did lack mental strength. But my point is did the steroid abuse if any contribute in making it worse? I don't know if I'm explaining it right but I've got alot of powerlifting /bodybuilding friends who've taken steroids such as tren and Halotestin. To put it mildly there aggressive c****. Actually work with one guy on the doors who done a course of Tren and he said he literally wanted to tear everyones head off including mine lol.

To this day I believe the two Bowe fights were fixed... Golota and his family were probably threatened by some gangs or Golota got paid a really big chunk of money for both fights, he was winning both comfortably.

I know it effects people differently depends on your natural test levels and metal state. His was clearly off keel from the start so could haveade it ALOT worse.

It makes no sense really does it, the way he just exploded into madness and threw away the fights? Both absolute war's though.

Thats why I think it was fixed... it just doesn't seem right before that he wasn't doing anything really crazy... so why would he do that in his two biggest fights when he is winning pretty much every round, I think there was death threats involved or something, nobody sane would do this even for insane money.
