In case these two guys fight at 160, what do you think they would both weight at fight night? How likely is it that Canelo will weight more?

very likely, because Golovkin does honor the 170lbs IBF rehydration limit while Canelo probably wouldn't.

Canelo is naturally bigger or walks around heavier.

Think Golovkin walks around at 175lbs max.

Canelo would only have to boil off 5-6 lbs in the final days to make the weight, allowing him to rehydrate and carb up to 180 without effecting his speed or endurance.

GGG will come in around his normal 169/173:think

I remember reading that their natural weights are almost exactly the same. Around 170 - 175.

Canelo will outweigh Golovkin by around 5-6 pounds, something like 174 to 180, but that won't be a problem for GGG to deal with.

Canelo came in at virtually 180lbs for Amir Khan. Definitely the biggest I've ever seen Canelo.

If Canelo moved to 160, he'd probably be up to 187lbs on fight night.

    It would be very similar.

    Both come in around 170-175

He gets in the ring at almost 175, so he probably walks around in the 180s.

Unless you think he walks around at fight night weight all the time.

Well......we'll likely NEVER know since it has become something of a bargaining chip amongst the cowardice.

However, I believe the last time we saw an unofficial fight night weight for Canelo was vs Lara, which if my memory serves me, was 177.:think

171 is the heaviest i can remember for canelo, that was against angulo.
Angulo was 174 and canelo was 171, i dont remember a fight night weight after that fight. This is something anyone whi cares enough can get the fight night weights for any reported weights and even when not reported they still step on the scales so the numbers eventually get leaked.

171 or 172 is the max ive ever seen for canelo and ive seen every fight. He came in quite a bit lighter against khan than he had for cotto, he looked exactly like he looked for the fmj fight.

Could be he was just in absolute peak condition and looked slim but idk nor digaf

I do think people exaggerate for Canelo. As Staminakills just said, that is the heaviest I have heard of him. But I haven't seen weights after. I'm assuming they weigh around the same.

He can re-hydrate as much as 185+ . He can move up to 168 if he wants to.

Nobody has proof of canelo weighing 180+. Most we've seen I think is 173. Golovkin has been 171 or 172. They're not much different.
