I only want to see a third fight if .... The fight is held in a neutral arena. No NSAC or Vegas boxing officials allowed. Just give GGG a fair fight. Prove youre a MAN clenelo & not just Oscars little red headed puppet. I know that will never happen though neither Oscar Fishnets nor Clenelo have the balls to do it
dude Canelo is the best thing going in boxing next to Pacquiao.. at Jr.Middle he beat 2 #1 rated Champs in Trout & Lara both for the WBA, beat a then top 5ish Champ for another title in Smith for the IBF, winning 3 of 4 titles at JMW while unifying the WBC & WBA at one point. at Middle he beat Cotto* technically for the Lineal and WBC, and drew with then beat GGG the WBC,WBA,IBF MW Champ, then beat Jacobs the #3 MW that managed to win the IBF title after they stripped Canelo, winning the Lineal, WBA, WBC 2x., and IBF 2x. at MW. at S.Middle he beat Fielding a top 10 168 contender and WBA Champ. Winning the WBA Title at SMW his next fight L.Heavy vs Kovalev the #2 LHW and WBO Champ a guy who is a few years removed from being damn near Undisputed at 175. In just those 9 fights by my count i have 5 fights vs #1 rated Champs, 1 up coming fight vs the #2 rated Champ, 1 fight vs the #3 rated Champ, and 2 fights vs a 5-10 Rated Champ. should he win vs Kovalev going 8-0-1 name another contemporary that has done as much, vs as overall quality?
Most people (especially impartial viewers) had Canelo winning the second fight. I had GGG winning the first fight, but even that was very close and could be argued either way. Talk of ‘robbing’ GGG is ridiculous, and don’t say what he should be. He should’ve been better so there was no argument. He should’ve fought better opposition other than Canelo. He should’ve had the balls of Canelo, and took on challenges in other weight divisions. GGG has made himself into a joke, that good boy persona has worn off and now you see a bitter guy who isn’t good for boxing. Canelo is a blessing for boxing, if only GGG was that ambitious.
He stepped up against Mayweather and on Mayweather's rules, and judges are not going to help you get hurt or knocked out by a way bigger fighter, don't play dumb and give some respect and credit for this fighter's risking against bigger guy's in other weight divisions, we need more top p4p fighters to do what Canelo is doing.
If he could roid out of his brain, and have entire commisions and judges in his pocket I am sure he would have stepped up too...
I don’t know. In his interview during press day he said that the fight was agreed between GGG, DAZN, GBP and Canelo. Then Canelo for unknown reason (GGG points out that even GBP doesn’t know the reason) decides not to fight, that’s where the issue is. It’s not GBP, it’s not DAZN, it’s not GGG, the only reason is Canelo. He basically said everything was ready for the fight. Canelo actions are really bad in that situation, twice in contradiction to his statements he changed his mind (first if the people want it we will make it, then he has to get the title and finally no). Fighting Kovalev is basically running away from GGG and saving his face, as it’s a win win for him.
Why all the Canelo hate? It's a pity GGG didn't show half the ambition of Canelo At the end of the day, the guy has fought tomato cans for the majority of his career, while claiming everyone ducked him? He had no problem calling out Mayweather for a fight, or fighting Brook, but he didn't want any part of Andre Ward. Now before I am labelled a hater, I am far from it. I think GGG is a fantastic fighter (maybe a tad overrated) and imo clearly the best MW since Hopkins. I just think he should of showed more ambition and made the step up to SMW, instead of hanging out MW fighting cab drivers.
