He can really make 154. Canelo and Cotto have no reason to duck GGG

Seems a small middle not sure if he can make 154 lbs though, Ishida and Rosado where 154 lbs fighters when he fought them yet fights took place at 160 lbs

man, i'd hate to have to lose 14 1/2 lbs in a month. rubio won't be eating mexican style.

Then why has he never once fought there before?

Especially considering he has fought a good several opponents who were JMW's and not MW's...

Good for Golovkin staying in shape year round and not cutting too much weight right before a fight...

    Why should he?

I'm sure if a PPV fight like Mayweather, Cotto, Alvarez or Pacquiao came up GGG would happily drop to 154, and if he couldn't make it, when he's said multiple times he could, his bluff would be called.

These "Jr Middleweights" you say he's fought, if they are classified as the weight class they had the fight immediately before they faced GGG, only Rosado would be a Jr Middleweight since Golovkin became a belt holder, and Rosado probably wanted a chance to win a belt at 160.

There's no need otherwise for Golovkin to cut the weight, like there is no need for Mayweather to cut the weight if he fights Danny Garcia next, even though he probably only walks around a few pounds above the welterweight limit -like GGG does the Middleweight limit- when he can probably still make 140.

Froch walks around at around 175lbs. Golovkin is a perfect middleweight.

So he drains down to 154 where he's never fought before, Cotto/Alvarez/whoever beats him, and then Cotto/Alvarez/whoever has to put up with everyone saying "Why even bother fighting him at 154? What a ***** move to drain him. They just beat a zombie corpse."

We've seen that time and time again with the contemporary boxing fan.
