No way GGG is 5'9. In interviews he stands nearly eye to eye with Max Kellerman who is a six footer. Triple G is in boxing shoes while Kellerman is in dress shoes with standard heels.

Maybe Rubio ate a big meal, to trick GGG into thinking he'll be out of shape, causing GGG to not prepare himself as well:think:hey Doubtful
Could be Gas weight as well, from all the Burritos

He is going to come in overweight and get Lawrence Cole for the ref. Or perhaps Russell More, another bigoted ref who favors Latino fighters.

Definitely some ****** shines at work for this one.

I always said 154 is easy for GGG. He is a very small middleweight. With power that hurts HW's. GGG hero, GGG too strong. :grouphug

Everyone thought GGG was a fraud. The more information that becomes public. The more GGG becomes the REAL DEAL. "He is the best" - Robert Garcia

If he can make 160 that easily, I wonder why he won't fight at 154? Bigger fights, better opponents (Canelo, Lara, Cotto, Trout, Molina, Kirkland, Andrade, Martirosyan)?

Plan had 154 as a target until the GBP/HBO rift.. when all the money at 154 went to SHO. After that, it made more sense to just defend 160 belts.

The only "better opponent" from that list is Andrade who has been struggling with 154 for a long time, and the only "better names" are SHO or Cotto who wouldnt have fought GGG anyhow.

People in the US think of 154 as good because Floyd fights people from that weight, and Cotto fought at the weight so it got more showcases/airtime from the networks. Just like 160 is starting to get more showcases/airtime now that HBO is pushing GGG.

Andrade isnt even certain about the 160 title fight versus Korobov, in interviews he has sounded somewhat reluctant - he knows it will be a tough fight. Andrade is 6'2" and has struggled with 154 for a long time. HBO has more fights for him at 160. It makes perfect business sense but he is still hesitant - against a mid (world) level guy.

Theres zero reason for a 160 titlist to cut to 154 unless a Cotto, Canelo or Floyd actually are willing to sign a fight.

    This, big time.

These guys are MW's weighing more than Golovkin in the ring and h2h they'd lose to top MW's the talent is no better.

    N'Dam, Saunders, Korobov > Trout
Rubio, Lemieux, Stevens, Johnson > Kirkland
Jacobs, Chudinov, Uzcategui i'd favor over > Martirosyan

I wouldn't be surprised if Geale, Quilin, Murray would beat Canelo at 160.
