Golovkin 2 out of his last 3 opponents are: Vanes & Brandon Adams, Is that ok for a P4P boxer?

Alverez was out of the picture , Golovkin had to fight somebody else and he chose Vanes over SD, which lost him his belt. Its very a cut n dry situation , no grey area at all.

It’s interesting how he “won” but still needs a tune up according to many here.

he was stripped for not defending. but he made 4 defences before he was, which is excellent titlist work.

People are looking at the negative side of this too much, you cant knock 4 defences, including one against an elite LMW.

We just want to see GGG fight the best, not overmatched opponents.

That is the main theme of this entire forum, not just for GGG though, any star boxer

Deserves a pass for Vanes. This other one possibly not.

Vanes wasn't a terrible fight on paper, everyone Vanes had ever fought (up to that point), he fought tough and it was serious competition.
This Brandon Adams fight is just......................yikes. A guy that had been knocked out by a light hitting WW in two rounds is not a good look at all, even for come back fight.

Should Golovkin have comeback vs. Andrade? Absolutely not, in fact he should probably completely avoid Andrade. Andrade hypothetically has the ability (not necessarily mentality though) to beat anyone at MW or SMW. be just as foolish for Golovkin to fight Derev...
His people should've tried to get Rob Brant or N'dam as a comeback if they weren't gonna move to SMW

Yes. Golovkin chose not to risk it vs Sergiy on short notice. He chose Alvarez.
If you think its a legit duck, that Golovkin was afraid of him, the so be it.
    Difference in oppinion.

Khan -- who he dragged up to middleweight from WELTER WEIGHT and by that time had already lost 3 fights, 2 by KO, 1 to a LW an the other to a LWW. His body type and composition pretty clearly show he has zero business ever at MW, let alone fighting for a title there.
Liam Smith -- Really? Who of note has he beaten?
Rocky Fielding -- Even bigger joke than Smith
JCC Jr. -- Shot to bits, couldn't even stop two no names before he fought Canelo and directly after getting his ass whooped by ANDRZEJ FONFARA!!!! Entire career made by him being a weight bully, signed up for a paycheck, almost killed himself making weight and looked worse than a homeless dopesick junkie at the weigh in, and had the "prime" -- if you could ever say he had one, beaten to **** out of him by Sergio Martinez 5 years prior. Fought 5 times in the 4 1/2 years in between Martinez taking his soul and him cashing in against Canelo. His opponents? Bryan Vera -- twice, Andrzej Fonfara, Marcos Reyes, and Dominik Britsch.

Vanes was inactive and coming up 1 weight class to fight GGG. Had never been stopped, and all 3 of his losses were to elite fighters and close and he even drew with an elite world-class fighter: Erislandy Lara. Same guy many here think beat Canelo, and same guy Canelo fans use to prove how great Canelo is for "officially" beating him, or being given one of a few early Christmas presents. In two fights Lara couldn't stop Vanes. GGG? Less than 2.

I'm not even doing this in support of GGG. I'm doing it because your such a brown nosing fanboy that everything you type is nauseating to read and not a single poster takes you seriously because they know you're not a fan of the sport, just the nationality/background. Literally, not an objective bone in your body. Go to a gym and learn how to fight for yourself instead of living and dying off your fanboys results and relying on them to build up a reputation for you to hide behind so you don't get tested by others.

And if he had officially won it would be a deserved soft touch. If you argued a point rather than just semantics more people might bite.

WTF do you mean he chose Alvarev ? He chose Vanes. Canelo was on the shelf with a drugs ban and knee surgery. Why do you continue to lie you scum? The Vanes fight was May, he fought Canelo in September. He stepped into the ring in May against Vanes , NOT against Alvarez.

Avoiding somebody because they are too risky as you put it is the exact definition of a duck. He didn't want to take the risk against Dervychenko so gave up his belt to avoid him - thats a duck.
Charlo took a risk by fighting Mat Korobov on a weeks notice and it very nearly went pear shaped for him. If Charlo can fight Korobav on a week , why can't Golovkin fight Dervychenko on 4 weeks?
Golovkin eliminated any potential risk by cherry picking an utterly disgraceful opponent. Because he was fighting Canelo again in the future doesn't excuse that. Mandatory defenses usually come after a big fight , it was his turn to fight his mandatory.
He straight up refused to fight him and chose to call up an inactive 154 pounder instead. It was one of the worst ducks of the modern era.
