Anyway, this is the right fight for GGG at the moment as it will tell us if he is the real deal and can hang with Sergio.

Decent matchup on paper but would be a brutally one-sided fight.

Much better than any other opponent he's faced. Fun fight and its not guaranteed he gets Macklin outta there. See it going the decision or 11rd ko for GGG. Dont think it'll be easy for either.

GGG's jab would smash Macklin's paper skin to pieces.

Could be that he doesnt see Geale as tough a challange as Golovkin couldnt it? Nooo that would be too much of an actual possibility to be true lol

Also Golovkin has had another fight (2) this year, Geale has had 1 so thats less 'momentum' if you get me.

Macklin wants a fight before GGG due to 1 round since September. Its not hugely unreasonable to need more than that to fight someone been touted as Martinez' heir apparent

Better fight Sturm. Both fights would end in a KO. But a fight against Sturm makes much more money!

Decent but Macklins tailor-made for Golovkin, would rather see him in with someone who can box and move a bit, Barker would be good

Don't see how you can fault a guy for fighting a top 5 in his division.

    Took him long enough though.

Damn how many times you need to be told: It's HBO that pays the purse, and it's good money, much more that the contenders are making otherwise.
