    The irony is staggering.

Nobody displays more double standards than you.

You pick out the worst of each fighter.

Then when we mention that GGG had competitive fights, you start whining that he was unwell and that we’re being biased etc.

Golovkin would outpoint McCallum by a little bit in a tough fight.

    Ha!

    Another delusional post.

    What footage have you watched??

Obvious that he’d have cleaned up McCallum, how??

He could barely beat Jacobs, who Pirog took out in 5 rounds.

    He could barely beat Derev.

He couldn’t really separate himself from Canelo.

So what footage are you referring to??

GGG barely beat Jacobs, yet an old version of Mike beat Steve Collins and systematically broke down Michael Watson.

He beat Sumbu Kalambay and Herol Graham.

He almost beat James Toney, who’d beaten Michael Nunn, at an advanced age where GGG could barely beat Derev.

    Those are the facts.

And saying that we’re biased and nostalgic, absolutely beggars belief.

I don’t know how you’ve got the audacity.

We have footage of a 35 year old Mike McCallum fighting a prime James Toney, in one of the greatest, technical fights of all time.

We have footage of a 35 year old Mike McCallum beating a young Steve Collins and a prime Michael Watson.

We also have footage of GGG scraping past Derev and Danny Jacobs.

It’s absolutely staggering that you’ve got the nerve to post your horse manure.

    Nobody here has overrated McCallum.

He’s simply more proven at the highest level.

McCallum wasn't a puncher at all at 160. Average at best. He had decent pop at 154 which gets overblown a bit by his one punch of Curry. Even at 154 he beat Mannion 15-0 or 14-1 in rounds and he'd been KO'd twice previously. Jackson was a good stoppage but was still learning and didn't know how to back off or bide time as McCallum smartly took his time and space away and pounded him. Quickish stoppage too tho his fate was sealed. McCrory went deep with him whereas every time Curry hit him he crumbled. The only good heavier fighter he stopped was Watson who he ground down and tired out with an excellent attack to both body and head. It was a stoppage much more due to class than power.

His KO percentage is still good because he fought a lot of low level guys. Even after winning the world title his next 8 fights included guys with records of 0-3-0, 12-10-0, 17-11-1 and 14-5-0. His warm up for his first title fight was a guy on debut and two fights earlier a guy 5-8-0. Even after losing to Kalambay mid career his next three fights featured records of 8-11-2, 18-14-0 and 23-10-0. There was similar even later. That sort of stuff will really pad your KO stats obviously. Duran used to do similar in his earlier days. Stay busy fights vs easy beats are fine but one has to take them into consideration with things like KO percentages.

Both can be true at the same time.

McCallum is my favourite fighter, but I think he might may be getting a bit overrated on here in general. I don't much mind it, though.

I think he's been a bit overrated in here for years and have been saying as much. Damn good fighter tho.

I love the way that Loudon goes silent for a while, as the magnitude of the perceived blasphemy slowly seeps into his mind, staining it with a slowly building pressure of nuclear rage. Then, trembling with indignation, he lets it all out with an apocalyptic flood of posts, like a 90 year old finally getting the full effect of the litre of prune juice he downed the day before. I get the unfortunate mental picture of Mr Burns on the loo, shouting "Ha! Finally!" as he struggles to keep himself from taking off like a bottle rocket from the diarrhetic explosion. :clapclap:Bravo I am heartily entertained. Dance for me some more :band:

Lots of circle jerk and diarrhea coming from you. Are those things frequently on your mind?
