The incentives are still exactly the same. Trainers have no reason to ever throw their guys under the bus. Sanchez is far more likely to know than someone mouthing off on twitter or a message board but he's not exactly a neutral source here.

 

But the situation is different, Sanchez is saying they haven't sparred, which is something that can be easily verified. You can lie about your fighter doing good but saying a sparring session hasn't happened when it did? Who's dumb enough to lie about something like this? And Sanchez has always been pretty open about GGG's sparring sessions, they've been well documented.

 

Sanchez has been open about them when they've gone well. And Diaz of course has said they'd spar; why would he lie about something like this?
