Pretty funny considering some were using these "sparring sessions" as proof that Golovkin is overrated.

Well it's interesting to see Chris Robinson interviewed Carson Jones after his sparring session with Cotto, yet no talk about Golovkin aside from a Cotto fan.

Diaz wasn't lying, he was saying that he expected them to spar, then Golovkin was out of town for four days and flys in during Cotto's final week. Honestly a poor performance in sparring would benifit Golovkin, seeing he seems to have trouble landing big name opponents.

i agree, not saying golovkin is the next best thing since silced bread but it might benefit him to suck at sparring.

After all it is alot easier to get a fight when you aren't considered strong..

You have no proof of Sanchez lying about a GGG sparring session so you're just talking out of your ass.

Diaz said he planned on making Cotto spar GGG, he hasn't confirmed that they actually sparred.

You likewise have no proof that the person posted about them sparring lied either. It's one person's word against another, and while Sanchez is likely the more reliable source, it's absolutely silly to pretend he'd be neutral on the matter or that it's out of the question that they actually sparred..

What is silly is to imply that Sanchez would lie about things that can be easily verified. GGG started his training tuesday, Cotto is leaving Big Bear this week end, if you know a little about how pro fighters train you know that they usually don't start sparring the first week of camp.

Sanchez has let journalists report on GGG's sparring sessions and take pictures, he has nothing to hide. How dumb would that be for him to deny that a sparring session happened if it really did happen in front of half a dozen people, most of whom do not work for him and are not bound by any confidentiality agreement. Get real.
