Unlike Andre the 'road warrior' Ward who knows no fear. I mean look how he had the stones to take on ATG 172lber Paul Smith in his comeback fight after such a long layoff.

Why are you talking about Ward? Ward dominated his division yet hasn't fought since 2013. He has no belts and is now fighting at a LHW catchweight. He's been having promotional issues but is now settled.

You can't compare Ward to GGG. Ward has fought and beaten champions and won a gold medal in the Olympics, he dared to be great and truly showed that with his performances..

GGG is an Olympic silver medalist who's comfortable knocking out journeymen and doesn't want to step up. Two completely different careers.

He stopped Bute, but Bute was backing him up and landing good shots. I guess Golovkin remembered them.

Ward when he was fighting was a top 5 p4p talent. He completely dominated his division and his leftovers are still dominating it even though he hasn't fought since 2013.

Bute is all wrong for ward

btw, Ward's road to the gold medal was super easy. You can't compare it to the monsters GGG had to face in the AM's.

I think his best opponent is without a doubt Gaydarbek.

Good call. Although Bute does actually hold a win over Gaydarbekov though, not saying that makes him better just that it's an impressive scalp to have on your CV. Gaydarbekov was only a hair's breadth away from becoming a two time Olympic gold medalist.

His resume would be a whole lot better if he had defeated an undefeated SMW champion. Bute was more than willing to fight him under his demands, but Ward felt Bute didn't deserve the fight, and that he was allowed a vacation. Of course he was willing to fight the big guys by draining them, and wants the smaller ones to step up.

Why is Ward not moving up to fight Kovalev, why didn't he want to fight Stevenson ? Why did Ward wanted to fight Chavez but as soon as Froch showed interest in him too he claimed Froch wanted an easy fight ?

    Yup, double standards.

Tells you something about his true size - he was fighting a guy who campaigned at 168 and 175 as an amateur.

Ward actually got a gift against an Uazbek fighter in the semi-finals.

The same Froch who lost to Ward is avoiding GGG at all costs and is supported by his promoter in that.

He was a successful amateur no doubt!

    Olympic Gold
    Olympic Silver
    2 time World Champion

But he beat Golovkin by grabbing and pot shotting after falling behind early when his traditional boxing was failing him. It was a very ugly victory and I think Golovkin is more than a little bitter about it and hesitant to credit him.

If you mean to step up in weight, then Ward wants it even less. Golovkin was ready to fight Chavez and Froch. Ward doesn't even want to talk about fighting any top LHW now.
