I honestly don't understand why you GGG nuthugging fanboys always bring Wards name when other people are discussing GGG.

Ward has not fought since 2013. He's fighting a tune up fight on BET at a catchweight to shake off ring rust.

GGG wanted fatboy Chavez who was never ranked North of 160 and recently got knocked out by a journeymen. Yet GGG still wants to fight him.. :rofl

Poor little Andre is so rusty that he needs to fight a journeyman

Of course, he's rusty. He's had 2 fights since 2012 and hasn't fought in almost 2 years.

Ward is fighting a journeymen with no belts at a higher weight class after not having fought for years.

GGG is fighting a journeymen in a title fight where he's the 80 to 1 betting favorite.. :rofl

He's actually being accurate, it reminds me a little of the Jeff Lacy/Mikkel Kessler/Ibragimov situation where they looked like very good fighters, destroying a bunch of guys who realistically were outside the Top 10 in their weight class.

Until we see Golovkin in there with someone proven, like a Cotto, Alvarez, Ward, Froch, even Kessler then we don't really know what we're watching truth be told.

I see a lot to like about Golovkin, but conversely I see a lot of gaps in his fighting style, he gets hit an awful lot and while he's definitely a powerful puncher, a lot of the way he throws his punches wouldn't work against defensive masters.

I actually think Mikkel Kessler, if he was active, would be a very hard fight for Golovkin - unlike other fighters, Kessler had a very good jab to keep Golovkin at range while also having a decent uppercut.

If you watch Golovkin come in on guys like Geale, he does so in the knowledge that they're not throwing back at him.

In any case, I hope GGG is the real thing, but at the moment, it's far too early to tell.

Mainly because it's you Ward apologists/nuthuggers who feel the need to trash GGG at any given opportunity. The hypocrisy is ridiculous.

I like watching both fight but the agenda of a lot of you guys against one or the other is sickening. Firstly, left to his own devices I think Rodriguez and Smith are the type of calibre of fighters Ward would like to feast on. The way he wanted to try and sell this BS for millions to networks was a joke.

Secondly his inactivity his is own doing. Promotional issues or not he screwed himself on that front by thinking he's smarter and more popular than he is, wasting years of his prime and detailing his momentum. That's on him. Like Golovkin or not he fights regularly which justifies the occasional smaller fight as he clears through contenders.

Thirdly, his CV is better because of the super 6 and only because of the super 6. If there was a competition wherein GGG could of fought as a contender at MW against the best the division had to offer rather than stagnating on the shelf being shamelessly ducked by 'champions' such as Sturm then I'm sure he'd have a far stronger CV far earlier. If he was allowed to fight all of his fighs on home turf against these champions like a certain othe contender then that would have made it even easier for him. No champs at 160 have been. Forthcoming to fight him. Martinez, Cotto, Quillin, Jacobs, Lee. Have any of these guys been up for it so far? No.

Fourthly, GGG's not obviously ducked anyone in his division. Ward has. As it turns out Bute was a bit of a false dawn but that didn't stop andre avoiding the fight prior to the devestating loss to Froch. He then planned to move up in weight but saw the division had suddenly become hot and changed his mind. Ward won't move up but GGG is expected to? There is a double standard here.

So I don't care if you you want to criticise Golvokin. That doesn't bother me at all. What does bother me is when the same people give Ward a pass for the same **** or worse. So am I going to see you slate ward in the same manner or are you a ridiculous agenda driven hypocrite?

Ward is a great fighter, but his resume is way over hyped. The super six made people think Froch, Abraham, and Kessler where top level all star fighters - but they aren't!

Super middle is and always has been a weak division as a whole. It has over 25% fewer fighters competing in it than the middleweight division. The law of averages doesn't lie, its easier to compete in a division with a 25% lower talent pool.

The thing with the super 6 is that all those guys where fairly close in talent, so the hype for them stuck. But Golovkin is SO much better than any middleweight, so it makes you idiots think MW is weak.

Not long ago you had Macklin, Murray, Barker, Geal, etc. All competing for that top MW spot. Those guys had hype until GGG completely dominated them and made them look like trash.

All that I could stand to read.

Nobody is trashing GGG. He's good for boxing and has the potential to become a great. He has the CHIN, the POWER, and the boxing SKILLS. Why is he fighting bums and prospects though? How can a 33 year old champion who has had over 13 title defenses, this being the 14th managed to only defeat 2 former champions in his entire career?

The man's resume is a joke, and you or anyone can't dispute it. I don't know about anyone else, but I simply want GGG to fight a live opponent, to challenge himself. The 160 division is a ****ing joke. If he wants to become a great, he needs to move up and fight bigger and better men instead of trying to get handouts from midgets and JCC Jr.. :rofl

Also, why do you clowns keep bringing Ward's name up, Jesus Christ. The man hasn't fought since 2013. One thing is for sure though, Ward has actually fought and defeated LIVE opponents. He has established himself as a champion. I'm not a particular fan but these facts can't be argued against.

Bute beat him in the European championships in 2002, they were held in Russia that year too so I'd be very surprised if he didn't deserve it. Contrary to what a lot of people will try and have you believe, Bute is a very talented fighter and he packs a big punch. He's just mentally fragile.

Bute always had a massive weakness about not seeing punches coming in, combined with a less than stellar guard. He was always open for punches coming in over the top of his gloves and punches.
