It's not a rehydration clause, is a mandate by the IBF that all fighters cannot weigh more than 10lbs above the weight the next morning.

Fair enough. Who would you say is the most skilled boxer GGG has faced?

Just an ibf next morning weigh in, can't be more than 10lbs over. Can't see it being an issue for either at all.

No, even if brook 'attempted' to pile on weight it'd be impossible in such a short space of time, well unless it's fat & then you'd be able to clearly tell.

Sure eddie tweeted that he was 186? around the time golovkin fight was announced. He's just bringing his weight down slowly, albeit he should not be going into camps so heavy...

thats just it, i dont know. using your size effectively vs smaller fighters doesnt make you particularly skilled, just bigger. apart from beating porter, who i dont think is top 5 at welter, i havent seen him do anything particularly impressive... skillwise.

I see. I was using more of the eye test to rate Brook against GGG'S other competition. To me he appears more skilled. And that's why I said that. I agree that Brook hasn't done sh!t at WW aside from beat Porter, who I do think was top 5 at the time he and Brook fought.

I mean, I do get the point but to say brook has won all of his fights based on his size is silly, he doesn't even use his size. He's a mid-range fighter.. now ofcourse he's bigger so it's possible his power is just too much for most 147 guys but it' clear to see he's always levels ahead of his opponents in the ring taking away any size advantage. I don't really agree though, I think porter is the 3rd best welter (4th with pacquiao fighting again). There's only thurman brook and pacquiao that would beat him in my opinion.

Brook is the best fighter golovkin has faced, he is also the first person golovkin has faced that has gone long enough in the sport without being beat to have the confidence in himself. I'v been impressed with what brook had to say so far, none ofthis going crazy over golovkin and his power. More focus on himself and what HE is going to do in the ring

Brook can't outbox GGG. It takes footspeed to outbox him, and Brook is only average in that category.

mayweather has created a myth you need to move move move to outbox somebody hitting and not being hit can be done in other ways

brook does have great footwork though but what he isn't great at is moving and being able to find shots on the move.

It looks like Brooks has been training at McDonalds

Kelly Brook will get his Glass Jaw Shattered. He was on Qweer Street against a plodder like Carson Jones FFS. Golovkin will annihilate him.

I see this fight as interesting as Golovkin-Stevens.
In match-up quality, I give it a B rating, whereas I rated Canelo Vs Khan as, B-.

I don´t see how Brook would be level above Murray, Geale, Lemieux, Stevens or Macklin skill wise. I just don´t see it.

IMO people are overrating fighter at WW just because they make fun and competitive fight. You don´t see a WW knocking out or out boxing anyone. Top 5 are as good as MW top 2-6. Look at Brooks best win Porter - Lemieux does everything as good as him and plus has legit power to KO his opponents.

agreed. some people act like welter is full of "A" level fighters having competetive fights between themselves, and middleweight is ggg vs a bunch of c and d level fighters.

 LOL, , although unintentionally, you hit the nail on the head with that description.
From top to bottom, The 160 division is totally devoid of A level or elite talent.
