Golovkin "Canelo is nervous"

What I find so interesting about the OP is that this was the exact comment that I thought was so odd when GGG and Canelo met in the ring after Canelo's one-sided victory against Chavez. Canelo has generally been a respectful fighter. This is why it was so out of character for him to make a comment like that when GGG wished him luck. I agree 100% that Canelo is nervous and uncomfortable, which is why he made this statement. Fighters, especially fighters like Canelo, only make statements like that when they are uncomfortable. False bravado.

i'm concerned about what happens after that--for instance, Rd 6:

do we see a mysterious fellow wearing only a fishnet onesie and a luche libre mask enter the ring and whack GGG over the head with a metal chair?

ref will probably be about as much help as in WWE (he counts to 10 or whatever WWE refs do when one wrestler does something like bring a chainsaw into the ring)

I can not wait for this Fight could be an Epic encounter....but I have this uneasy feeling as the Fight get's closer something will happen Injury or sickness thing...seen it happen before just hope I am wrong.!!!

You and GG might think that Canelo is nervous but he really isn't. In fact I think that Canelo is very angry.

 

GGG's remark reminded me of The Borg (Star Trek NG) message delivered to each (doomed) civilization upon initial contact with them:

We are the Borg.
Lower your shields and surrender your ships.
Your culture will adapt to service us.
Resistance is futile.

GGG and The Borg of course use different words, but i think their message to their respective opponent is essentially the same

 

you think Canelo is going to wear women's lingerie into the ring?

even if he does, i doubt this has any meaningful effect on the outcome

 

Be interesting to see if GGG becomes a proper superstar after this fight. Doesn't say much but I find him to be pretty charismatic.

 

GGG was nervous in the Lemieux fight, he knows the power from it.

 

do not want a premature stoppage from the ref.
