And still, at 26 he has a better resume than Golovkin.

Im done with this topic, it pointless to continue arguing the same thing. I posted quotes, you guys choose to ignore them.

He lost to Void...................El Pollo has never fought Jacobs, Jacobs is too big for El Pollo......................Golovkin should knock El Pollo out, but watch out for El Pollo's pecker shot at Golovkin's testicles, Weeks will jump in and stop the fight, then you can watch Bob Bennett lie like Trump! El Pollo's wing punch will do him no good, but the referee, judges, referee and boxing commission is El Pollo's best chance..............

Kovalev got about $5 million from the first Ward fight due to his HBO deal.

Besides, RocNation are a strange promotional company who are happy to lose money on their fights.

Yeah right they only got 160k buys, there was no cherry on the top and even if there was it wasn't going to go to Kovalev

Firstly, you just keep ignoring Ward saying that he wasn't interested either. In that quote he plainly told Golovkin he wouldn't fight him yet, maybe later. My opinion is that neither side was interested in a 2013 fight, whereas you are trying to say Ward was without a scrap of evidence.

Furthermore, Golovkin said he wanted the fight at the HBO office in late 2013, as well as in two interviews after that Loeffler interview. That means far more than one earlier interview from Loeffler in mid-2013 where he defers to Golovkin's judgment on the Ward fight.

Those examples are valid, thanks, although remember that it is because ODLH and Floyd were superstars, even beyond what Canelo is now. Canelo made $12 million vs Floyd btw:

Do you really think a 25% - 33% split is unfair for Golovkin vs Canelo?

You've also forgotten how Golovkin conceded on ring entrance, rematch clause, etc. because that does not fit with your ideas of Golovkin being hard to deal with. Same with the evidence from Oscar and other promotional companies.

But in any case, even if you are correct, that actually strengthens my argument as clearly Ward is very difficult to deal with if he wants 71.5% as the challenger when he's not a huge star himself.

NO, NO, NO that is rubbish, the guarantees were $5million and $2million, they were the registered purses

Do the maths 160k x 60 bucks is only 9.6mill and we all know the network takes half!!

Those people are ******ed, can't believe you brought that as your evidence to be honest

He was taking a huge risk fighting Kovalev, no surprise he wanted to get paid

    He offered GGG 50/50

    in 2015, yes.

Not in 2013, when he was the A-side.

So you think the link I sent is made-up? Perhaps it is merely fake news, on further research it does seem that the $5 million / $2 million numbers are registered and correct as you say, since the ppv bombed. Kova may have got a bit more from HBO though, that was only a guarantee and we know that RocNation lost money on the fight.

I still can't believe that ODLH didn't shaft Loeffler without ****.

I was wrong, and thank fk for that.
