A lot of people said the same thing about Manny when he turned down Floyds 40mil flat offer. All those people ate their words because Manny ended up making 3x that much when the fight eventually happens. I dont know about you but im not interested in financial advice from a bunch of broke middle aged men on the internet.

 

Manny clear 1m+ppv against a no name
Money clear 1m+ ppv against a no name
GGG clear 100k + against a no name
Canelo clear 300+ against a no name.
It's a bit hard to see a similarity unless you mean in a smaller scale.

 

I believe if it's marketed correctly (2-3 24/7's please), it can definitely do a million buys. 1.5M is a hefty number that has only been obtained by a select few.

If I had to guesstimate now, I'd say 1.2 million @ $70 = $84M plus a tremendous live gate. You are easily looking at over $100M generated. $15M still sound fair?

 

You forgot that HBO and cable companies take half of it. So it is $42M. Now is it fair?

 

Ggg is the biggest diva in sports today. Guy has beat no one of note and gets less than 100 k in ppv buys and he and his fans think he's entitled to pbf and pac money. Ggg is a cruel joke.

This fight will not do 1.5 million on buys you're delusional. Ggg has never shown that he can do more than 100 k in buys and yet you think he's going to do pbf-mosley type numbers. This fight will be lucky to do 800 k in buys if that. Ggg is not a ppv draw.

 

This fight won't get anywhere near 1.5 million in buys you don't go from less than 100k in buys to 1.5 million this fight isn't that big and ggg isn't the draw you think he is. He's not pbf Pac or even cotto.

 

Difference is pac was a atg a ppv draw and had done over 1 million in ppv buys. Ggg is none of that.

 

The funny thing is, Golovkin isn't even tested yet. So we're not really sure how his chin, stamina and power really are. His team has done nothing but carefully handpick all of this opponents and will continue to do so. Can't blame them either, just as long as his mentally ill fan base will be tuning in, they have zero reasons to take any risks.

 

Exactly the guy has one of the worst resumes of any so called elite fighter in the sport. He also acts like a diva and doesn't seem to be interested in daring to be great.

Golovkin is truly one of the biggest jokes of the modern era. Usually fighters switch to all-out money late in their careers after they already established their names by taking actual risks early on. Golovkin is doing it all the way without the need to take any risks. All it takes are flat footed tomato cans for gif images and a twitter account.
