Oscar isn't a businessman. Eric Gomez isn't a businessman. Why do you think Golden Boy is in the shape it is in right now? I mean they are having to hype and pimp Diego De La Hoya as some kind of future for their company. He can't fight a lick. The fight isn't happening without PPV upside and Oscar and Canelo didn't want the fight to happen from the beginning and it is why they have dropped belts, made promises, lied, and offered flat fees. They don't want this fight.

People would respect them if they just admitted it and moved on. Sergio Martinez and Cotto admitted it and they seemed to do just fine. Don't fake like you want to fight someone. Since Oscar is one of the biggest fakes and frauds in the sport it is all he knows how to do. They would be better to do what DiBella and Martinez did which is just admit we aren't going to fight him. Do you hear people mocking DiBella or Martinez now because they were truthful? Nope. Ggg is asking for more than Canelo, or Cotto were guaranteed in their last fight.

Ggg is asking for more than any B side has ever made.

I doubt that because 35 percent would be less than 15 million and GG wants more than 15 million. HBO has GG thinking he's worth more when he's not. They have tried to manufacture GG as a star but it hasn't worked. Not many fighters get those kind of paydays. GG simply hasn't accomplished enough to warrent that kind of cash. Look at Kovalev, more accomplished fighter but gets paid much less.

 

No, I don't wonder. Its obvious. The WBC was mandating they sign contracts within two weeks. What the WBC failed to acknowledge was that certain fighters make the belts they hold instead of the belts defining who the fighter is.

LOL the WBC was going to allow them to negotiate and set terms for the fight. They weren't forcing a purse bid after 2 weeks. The fight wasn't made because Oscar and Canelo don't want the fight. It is that simple. Same reason the fight wasn't made for September same reason the fight isn't going to be made for May of 2017 etc.

If Oscar and Canelo would just admit they don't want it and are going to go a different direction like DiBella and Martinez did then it would stop all the ridicule. People might not like it but they would respect the honesty. Instead they continue to lie, make excuses and fight Liam Smith type fights. It is pitiful and embarrassing.
