Yeah..good luck with that. I'm sure K2/GGG will jump all over that.

I would believe right off the top of my head that the split I suggest Canelo still makes a career high payday.

Why wouldn't K2 accept a flat fee from GBP when they already have done so for their last fight with Brook, which by the way, is Golovkin's highest earning purse.

Maybe you are right about the sum of $5M. They should kick it up to $7M so's K2 can get a juicier slice.

I have no idea what the deal was from Brook.

So you are suggesting then that Oscar rescind the 10-12 million off some are saying has been made?

We're talking quite possibly the biggest fight since May/PAC and should provide a lot of entertainment and pop. The split I am suggesting is fair and concedes Canelo the lion's share at double what GGG will bring home..

I'm being reasonable for a fight this big. You are being ridiculous. Maybe Oscar should attend his next press conference wearing high heels and fishnets since he has wore them before?

Canelo-Mayweather was the 2nd biggest fight of the last 10 years with 2.1 million buys. Do you know how much the B side took home?

Canelo-Cotto was also one of the biggest fights in the last 10 years, and do you know what the purse split was?

Not sure why you think 10-12 mil is a low ball. Can you please explain.

I didn't say 10-12 was lowball. Read the post. The guy i was replying to said 5 million.

Check an earlier post of mine on a different thread. I said that at this point K2/GGG should accept the 12 provided one interim fight each which would set this up for May.

The fight won't be anywhere near the ~$500M in revenue of Pac/May, but the attendance gate will be larger.
The networks aren't paying either Canelo or Golovkin $35M/fight.
All the gate will be due to Canelo's Texas fan base. They know of Golovkin, but they are Canelo fans.

Hearns paid Golovkin at flat sum for Brook. The reason is the same. The O2 turn-out was mostly due to Brook. K2 acknowledged this when they accepted the flat $5M, with no gate.

GBP should do the same for Texas and offer a flat fee.

What a silly question to ask.

    Why do you think?

You could probably calculate a formula based around viewership, TV rights money, PPV numbers, live gate values, among others. It would probably show that Canelo would deserve something along the lines of 80/20.

    Yep!

They should accept the flat fee, win the fight and be in position to do the same to their next opponent.

Sure..if that flat fee is the 12 mil I've seen floating around then I would agree. GGG should just take it provided there is only 1 interim fight and this happens in May.

You always ask stupid questions, and then when you get called out on them, you can only reply with nonsense like the above.

K2 aren't going to accept a flat fee.

The Brook fight and a Canelo fight are worlds apart.

Have a think about why and then come back to me.
