Offered the fight? Show me proof of an offer sent by HBO . Let me guess you're going to link me to something Golovkin, or Golovkin's team said right :rofl. Some people are so delusional, if GGG really wanted the Ward fight, he could have easily had it, with anyone who isn't a d*cksucker it's obvious GGG wanted 0 parts of Ward.
Since he ducked Ward, why does he not agree to a CW with Canelo since his goal was to get a money fight? He said anyone from 154-168 but clearly that comes with stipulations. Is he going to fight anyone with a pulse? Even Lara would be a step up for him. It will be quite an embarrassment if he doesn't finally move on from fighting tin cans this year. If he wants to duck, so be it, but his idiotic fans should be more honest of his intentions instead of making him into some monster who will fight anyone.
Ward has contracts in place already for a fight with kovalev lol....just need to get thru Barrera and maybe 1 more ........according to fat dan U tried to be funny.....and make a joke....but the joke is on you
You could say everyone ducked someone. Did sugar ray Leonard duck Aaron Pryor and then later mike McCallum? Yes. Does anyone care? Not really
Bingo. The haters are so desperate to tarnish GGG that they reason as follows: GGG ducked Ward= GGG is worthless
You can't define greatness by what didn't happen. There will always be fans like this and It's like that in every sport.
The point is, as Ward says, he (his management really, I'm sure GGG would take the fight in a month) tried to make it seem like it was Ward's fault. BJS (or his management) ducked GGG the way he should have; "I'm just not ready for the fight." If GGG had done this, it wouldn't be a real issue.
But Sugar Ray did fight HALL OF FAMERS. He did not want to take a risk against a guy who wasn't going to do much for his legacy, or his pocketbook. a victory against Pryor would look good now, but back then, it would have been; "oh Ray beat a 5'6 guy."
Frankly you could make a case that Ward ducked GGG. He had plenty of chances to make a concrete offer, on paper. "Muh legal issues" "Muh tune up" "We need to build the fight up" "You signed to fight for a title? You're ducking me 'less you fight now." Seriously? If Ward REALLY wanted the fight he would have negotiated with intent from the start. Frankly it was up to him to make the fight, since he's the guy that brings no money to the table and is the bigger dude.
